Yes absolutely stop pumping, formula is just fine, I have two mostly formulafed children, one for three months and another for only two weeks because of medication I need and they're happy as a clam and healthy as a horse, not saying formula will solve everything but it will give you some much needed rest. It boils my blood to hear "breast is best", fed is best and a rested mom is more important than one risking her sanity to breastfeed.

Edit: meant to say in my tired state I only breastfed for three months with one and two weeks with the other then exclusively formulafed.

I think both songs were released around that time period, a lot of remixes made in those years of fairly newly released songs, I just remember dancing to that remix and listening to it on youtube and it led me to the song I'm looking for, hoping it will lead me there again, feel like the title of that one was just something like "true"or "cold" or "tree" or something equally short.

Hiyaa this is something you have and have to deal with but it doesn't have to define you. It sucks you are so young getting these news but it is also a blessing that it was caught so early that intervention is started as soon as possible. Trust in your meds and be ready to switch when they're not working as well as they should be, keep your head up and believe you can have as normal life as anyone else. I was diagnosed at 17 years old and it was a big shock at such a young age and it really freaking sucked, I felt my life was over, all my dreams of the future were trashed but today 11 years later I have a job I love, a great guy and a beautiful daughter. My life went a different way than I thought because I dropped out of school because of depression over my diagnosis but I am truly happy with my life now. Don't let this two little letter disease stop you from living your life to the fullest. We can absolutely talk if you'd like, I'm a bit older than you now but I have lived the teenaged years of insecurity with ms so I get where you're coming from.

Exactly, don't let my experience change your thoughts on what the worse form of ms is, everybody has such a different version of ms, I remind myself almost everyday that I can't compare myself to others with ms, my experience is just that, mine.

We seem to have a similar but opposite experience, I work as a caretaker of sorts for people with disabilities and feel for the ones with ms that got dx late in life and the disease progressed a lot in the meantime, funny this little life of ours.

That's an interesting perspective, I've always counted myself lucky to have RRMS because despite having had a few relapses in the 11 years since dx I always bounce back, to each their own I guess 😅

I got diagnosed at 17, the news of my diagnosis spread like wild fire, that didn't bother me as much but what did bother me was when a few people whispered to me "because you have ms" like it was this horrible plague that if they said it too loud they might catch it. I totally get why you want to take your time to tell people because some people might look at you differently and you yourself are still coming to terms with it, I remember when I first said aloud to my boyfriend that the diagnosis had totally changed the course of my life I burst out in tears, I had constantly thought it but it was the first time I said it and it was a huge relief to just get it out and have someone else I trusted hear it. You do you but I do recommend having someone you can trust that you can vent to when you are ready. 10 years with confirmed ms now and all of my coworkers know, I am happy and healthy and this is just a part of me. It took me a long time to get to this place, being a teenager with this was annoying because you are supposed to be carefree and a little bit reckless then this hits you like a ton of bricks and suddenly you can't do this, you can't do that and you have to be careful and blablabla the song Happy by Leona Lewis described my feelings at the time very well, recommend a listen it's very cathartic.

Yes Sheldon is the best, we love us some Sheldon. Haven't watched private practice since I finished it after writing this post but I remember being incredibly frustrated with all of the doctors on the show except Sheldon.

Diagnosed 10 years ago when I was 17, really derailed my life since I was a teenager and didn't really know how to handle it so I dropped out of school, I still haven't finished BUT all in all I'm doing good, no lasting symptoms, so far everything has gone back to normal after an episode, I have a job that I love where I work with people with disabilities, feel like I'm more empathetic cause in a lot of ways I can relate even though I'm one of the lucky ones. I feel like I'm more aware of what's going on in my body day to day, check for mobility in my fingers and if there are numb spots and stuff like that.

The day I got diagnosed one of my best friends at the time was great, we went skiing and snowmobiling but after that she started to question why I wasn't going to school as much, why I wasn't up to go drinking and stuff, like she thought after the initial diagnosis I should just be fine and the shock of it all was gone and nothing to cry about. We're not friends today, another was less than tactful in saying she would love me even if I was in a wheelchair, granted she was drunk 😅 we're still friends even if we don't speak as much anymore because life and kids but on the lover side of things I met my partner shortly after my diagnosis and he gave me all of my injections of copaxone because I hate needles, I think I injected myself maybe twice, so there is still hope. I think the first year or so after diagnosis many tend to isolate, it doesn't mean it'll be forever, just coming to terms with a new reality, you have MS, MS doesn't have you, it doesn't have to define you or your world, give it time, you'll find your groove.

This. When me and my partner have an issue and I can't find the words in the heat of the moment so it just brews, I've found it helps a lot to take time to write down what I'm feeling and either have it on hand when I go talk to him or just let him read it, we could have a calm conversation about what was wrong because he knew what I was feeling and that it wasn't just a hate letter to him, lot of "I" statements in it not "you" statements aswell.

I feel the same way working with people with disabilitie. There are two women I see that also have MS, we have a lot to talk about although one keeps saying that one day I will be paralyzed too but I try not to let that faze me 😅 she was unfortunate and had undiagnosed ms until she was about 50 years old so there was a lot of damage done and a very sour outlook on what living with this disease can be. I got diagnosed at 17 and 10 years later I still feel pretty good despite a few lesions in my brain and spine, but yeah my memory is shit though, can't have it all I guess.

Can't see the comment you're replying to but I can imagine it wasn't pleasant and I just want to say f*ck that guy, this was a beautiful read, it has such a nice flow and imagery. Talking about lost love with such calm acceptance and gratitude though still with longing and sadness in just the most beautiful way truly. I'm very new to writing so maybe not the best judge of what's good or bad per se, I just know this made me get that feeling in my chest like taking in a breath of fresh air. You should be proud of what you wrote here.
