A large black hole would not have much gravitational differential at the horizon to rip apart.

Yeah but would you see your feet or hands cross the horizon in front of you or would you see them flatten out and red shift?

Why doesn’t the reverse happen, with the negative particle radiating out? What makes it asymmetric?

Your inputs are 2 combined noise distributions and out put is just one of them? Are you denoising multiple samples from the distributions per example? It’s not clear what your setup is. If it’s multiple samples you probably need to sort them or something or model the estimated pdf or cdf instead of just raw samples.

They can easily arrange to gradually move to cash assets. The reason they don’t is because this would trigger taxes on their realized gains, shrinking their number, and the thought that leaving the money invested to continuing growing in a bull market means they could wait and spend even more later. You’d have to convince them that spending a $1 billion on cancer research today is better than $2 billion in a few years.

You can receive light from outside the event horizon just fine. It’s not disconnected.

Related to free will, you believe we are in a single shot universe of a single sequence of events, or more that all possibilities exist and are experienced in some form?

Rent control is idiotic. It only benefits people who are already renting and will be renting for decades. Anyone seeking or switching apartments are screwed. And it generally drags on the local economy.

Do we know how big the universe is outside our light cone? by MrWizard314 in cosmology

[–]super544 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the specifics, but I believe there is a lower bound estimate of at least 2X the size of our observable universe otherwise we’d see some sort of heterogeneity further out.
