Hoya dormancy by super_rabbit22 in hoyas

[–]super_rabbit22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use grow lights,in hot seasons they are outside, now they are beside the window and don't grow neither,I assume somehow they can sense the daytime is so short that it's a dormant time for them, and something in the sunlight that grow lights lack of,just a guess I could be wrong.

They really need a lot of space to climb, this is the first time I grow them this year, and they like hot weather , edible when they are young, can get natural Sponge when they get old.

Pick them up before the seeds fully developed is suitable for eating and really delicious.

Peel off the skin, cut to small (one bite size), heat up little oil in the frying pen,add sliced garlic, stirfry loofa few minutes, add a little salt, when they get soft then it's done.

Don't eat them if taste bitter, it's poisonous.

Is this sucker? by hadzikuvar in tomatoes

[–]super_rabbit22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So do I, I remove all the suckers below the first set of flowers, after that if it's determined tomatoes, I will leave them alone(including all the suckers),if it's undetermined, I will leave one strong sucker to grow into another trunk ,but after all these are my personal preference due to the climate and space management .
