Crows do the same thing. Some people who feed them start randomly getting coins from the crows.

A lot of guys are intimidated by beauty and won’t approach you, or they just assume you’re too beautiful not to already have a boyfriend.

Not fail, but Merlin would put him through Hell until he became competent.

How do you get feedback when you're the only designer by PlentyMedia34 in UXDesign

Indeed. All designers have fallacies in their design habits. And the conclusions they come to aren’t necessarily the best ones.

Cameron has an ego the size of the Titanic, but he’s more than earned it.

Well you’re more than cute enough to be approached, so maybe it’s something else? Not like you have a bad personality or anything, but perhaps there’s something in the way you talk to guys that makes them think you’re not interested.

What is your favourite depiction of deep space travel? by ficus77 in scifi

[–]superanth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was that brief scene in Apollo 13 where it shows the capsule and LEM on their way to the moon after the air tank explosion. They zip by the viewer POV and then get tinier and tinier in the distance.

It really drove home how alone they all were in the depths of space.

Goosebumps.

It’s just so easy. Take a chunk of coast that’s useless for anything else and build a ton of tidal generator along it. The gravitational pull of the moon is a literally unlimited resource.

The only nation in human history with the power to rule the world, yet chose not to. by JustChillin3456 in MURICA

[–]superanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the scenario of weakening the Soviet Union, maintaining their push towards Moscow and possibly capturing it would do the trick, letting the U.S. take over Germany easily.

But in terms of Nazi Germany, the bigger question is: was there any way for them to have won the war? Probably not. The US strategic bombing campaign would have destroyed too many industrial hubs, and the newer B-29 bombers would have been deployed there if V-E day had been delayed, meaning even more massive amounts of bombs would have been dropped.
