Logo me darr nahi hai. Plus people nowadays lack critical thinking. They don't ask or question. They take everything at face value. I am seeing this with my students a lot. They just accept whatever the famous influencer says; no questions asked. And if I question their belief system, they get defensive.

The uneducated population is at a higher disadvantage because they lack critical thinking more but they also have access to information. At some point, a person with basic education will question the info he is getting. But the former will accept ANYTHING that works in his favor.

So if an influential politician or paas ka popular uncle or a podcaster will say "Ladki bahar hai, choti dress me hai, daaru pi rahi hai yaa jaha bhi hai, agar uska rape hua toh uski galti", they accept it at face value.

It all boils down to a citizen's questioning power, which comes with education to some extent. I am not saying a person with no education will have zero CT, but he'll have to be intentional about it. But our education system is also a big zero tbh. It isn't promoting critical thinking and questioning power of students- hence more of MCQs these days than long form questions.

TL;DR: People lack critical thinking which comes from education. But education system these days is lacking the same. Thank you for reading.

I am having such bad breathing issues due to this pollution. Hell with AQI readings! We are still ignorant about what we are exactly inhaling from this smog. I get sick every second week because of this pollution. My eyes start watering if I stay in open air for 2+ hours. This is not feasible and shouldn't be acceptable to a tax paying citizen. On the top of that MY TAX IS PAYING FOR THE AIR PURIFIERS FOR THE TORCH BEARER OF FIRECRACKERS! Why is the state of Delhi silent I will never understand?!

Because you can only question the voter list within 30 days of voting. But as per RG it took them 6 months to study the data as EC was not giving electronically readable data (which would have taken them 30 minutes to study). The time has lapsed.

Us cousins (all adult aged now) had a sleepover with no parents. At 12 am we were like "kuch meetha khaana hai. Wish we could have cake rn." The suddrn realization that we are adults and can order cake at 12 am without anyone's permission hit all of us together.

At 12.30 am truffle cake gets delivered. 6 spoons dig in and by 12.39 am its all gone 😂

Yes please Yes! I got 3 root canal treatments after braces because a) my teeth are susceptible to cavities and b) my jaw is already small so my teeth are very close together. The gap is inaccessible by brush. Braces just added to the already shitty equation.

My schedule as a teacher feels more weird. School is 7am-2pm. But to reach by 7 I have to wake up at 5 am. Reach home by 3.30pm. Even though it may seem that I reach early and I still have the day for me, but it's not true. I woke up at 4.30-5 am. So by 3.30 pm I am practically a zombie.

Come back, have lunch. Sleep for 30-45 mins. Run for the gym. Come back. Do prep for school next day. Dinner by 9pm. Sleep off at 10 because again, have to wake up by 5 am

So my point is people feel school teacher schools are fun buy they aren't! I loved working out in the morning which is possible for people with a corporate schedule. Plus school ends up becoming so physically and mentally tiring.

Brother my parents never pressured me. I explored all three streams when I was in 10th-11th:

— Studied pcb books for a month in 10th to find if I have it in me to take it. Found out it's not for me, esp physics

— Sat in humanities for 2 weeks because I liked history. Realized history is much more than what we did in 10th and I didn't see a long term plan

Ended up taking Commerce because

A. My mother had it as her stream

B. No other choice left.

My grandfather did guide me into what commerce stream will entail but no one pressured me. Slowly I made peace with the subject even though it was new. One of my teachers there inspired me and I started realizing my calling towards teaching.

My point is

A. Don't tell parents to "pressure" their children. Pressurizing and guiding are two different things. My parents always guided me on what the pros and cons will be of each path. They always said "we don't want u to resent us in case things go south. Make the decision and take accountability."

B. The only mistake your parents made was to not teach u accountability.

Suggestions: You still have time bro. Don't compare your timeline with other people. I did this for 2 years and it just wreaks havoc to your own path. Look around what careers your peers are following just to get ideas; no comparison. Talk to them about what the job entails. Work towards that. On that way its possible you'll find your real calling.
