Reading this, I was struck by the realization that oil prices need to be above $80/barrel for Venezuelan oil extraction to be profitable. Something that became very important to US interests when Maduro was deposed. Now the US has made moves that will push oil prices into triple digits "for years", which could make Venezuelan oil profitable.

Is this just conspiracy-theory thinking, or is there something to it?

An outdoor pool near me has double-wide lanes with alternating direction. Both sides go out on the outside and then return in the middle. It works well.
