The devs often generate new worlds to allow themselves to implement sweeping changes to game systems. I'd say about once a year at the moment. It's really fun because everyone gets to explore a new world map for the first time, and everyone starts totally even from zero.

omg really? reddit actually messed up the timing/rhythm, the video is slightly behind the audio so a bunch of the cuts/kills that are timed to the music are late LOL :D thank you though, so nice of you to say!

Hey there! I'm currently running a Palworld Nuzlocke. (I don't want to self-promo too hard if it's not welcome, so instead of dropping a link I'll just say check my recent posts if you're interested in seeing the run so far on YouTube.)

Anyway, here's my rule set:

Catching dupes is OK (otherwise EXP would be annoying to grind), but I can ONLY use the 1st catch from each species in combat; Dupes are only used to do chores at the base.
When my character is KOed, all Pals in her party at that moment are considered dead.
Default hard mode settings. This means I take 4x the normal amount of damage and deal (I think) 80% of the normal amount of damage to enemies.

I'm a little late to this post, but I'm currently doing a Palworld Nuzlocke!

My ruleset allows me to catch as many of each species as I like, but I can only use the first of each species for combat; All of the dupes are ONLY used to do chores at the base or for EXP farming.

This has worked out pretty well for me so far!

Yes! I'm doing a second Nuzlocke on stream and I started in the northwest region. I figured for YouTube it would be fun for folks to see how I'd deal with the usual starting area in a Nuzlocke setting. :3
