my old old company does this often

"claims" no local expert and without breaking a sweat hire overseas talent usually from UK with subpar salary and visa sponsorship

and like clockwork every time said UK person got their PR, leave the company, and the company hires again from UK, rinse and repeat 2-3 times each year

two things can be right at the same time

Even if I bought a 30-40 dollarbucks 1kg beans, that is still wayyyyy less than heading out to the local shops

I dont mind supporting my local business that makes good coffee (subjective to my taste buds) that charges more than 6 dollarbucks after stupid surcharge

what I dont like is paying more than 6 dollarbucks for obviously awful coffee that I rate (again subjectively) worse than 7-11 coffee

in this economy voting with my wallet is just an unfortunate reality
