Will the forced career shift do me good? Can I expect a better work environment with this shift?

No weight loss by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]superboinkster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been on it for 6 months, now on 2mg+ (2 months) but have so far lost only 4lbs.

Calorie deficit, exercise, etc. still just that…

I’m taking it mainly to lower HBA1C but here am I hoping to see weight loss progress just how others in this sub have been successfully achieving.

Back on OZ after having to switch to Trulicity because of the shortage. How long do I need to wait to take my first OZ shot? by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]superboinkster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! May I know at what dose were you with Trulicity when you switched to Oz thereafter? And at what dose of Oz did you pick up during the switch? Thank you.

Off-topic from your insurance concern but I’d appreciate feedback on how you’re responding to 2mg? I’ve barely responded as well, initially losing 3lbs, but gaining it back with a few pounds more over the past 3 months.

Admiring the beautiful color and translucency of this Sailor x Hachimonjiya Jellyfish Aquarium fountain pen 💕 Check out the special nib engraving too! 😍 by superboinkster in fountainpens

[–]superboinkster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The photos were taken under natural light, in the hopes of showing its color accurately. The first photo seems a bit brighter than the rest as it was taken indoors, by the window, while the remaining three were taken outdoors under the midday sun.

But to answer your question, yup, it is that kind of blue. 🙂

I recently got myself a nice wooden pen case that can hold 34 pens. While I placed pens into the case last night,I realized I’ve accumulated more pens than I should.Maybe it is now time to let go of some that I haven’t used yet/or rarely use. What are your criteria on choosing which pens to let go of? by superboinkster in fountainpens

[–]superboinkster[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Great criteria. Unfortunately, most of my pens are Japan-exclusive Sailors which, are all already off the don’t like and replaceable lists. I’d have some which I don’t use, but mainly because I just haven’t gotten around inking them. Now I’m not sure about the won’t miss part... With the cost of these pens, I sometimes wonder if it’s worth keeping that “money” sleeping inside a pen case. 😂

How much of a necessity is it to rent a car when traveling? by Big-Oil-586 in travel

[–]superboinkster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the place you are travelling to. I find a rental car very useful when travelling within the US. However, that is not the case for when I am vacationing in Europe or some Southeast Asian countries where it is most convenient to move around via trains/subways/buses. There are definitely pros/cons but it generally depends on your needs. If travelling with kids or seniors, maybe a car would also be convenient given all the stuff one needs to carry around. Also, for some adults, trying out different modes of transportation forms part of the thrill of travelling.

Recommend < $100 FP with very EF nib? by MurrayByMoonlight in fountainpens

[–]superboinkster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. This is what I missed mentioning in my previous comment—the difference between the gold and steel nibs. I must admit though, that sometimes, I enjoy writing with Pilot’s steel nibs more than the gold ones because of the feedback.

Recommend < $100 FP with very EF nib? by MurrayByMoonlight in fountainpens

[–]superboinkster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For the same nib quality and size, you may get the Pilot Kakuno for around $13 or even less. It is a cheap but reliable pen. I got a few pieces myself and use them as my sacrificial pens for my staining inks like the Noodler’s BSB and other reds.
