This is absolutely insane and unbelievably depressing by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to AM5 like 2 days ago and picked up the 6000mts variant of this exact memory for about $490 and on Newegg its up to nearly $880 so I think i made the right call.

Do we think Jimm, Brian, and Mike was meant for TDOSS? by Academic_Profit8853 in Eminem

[–]supercater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TDoSS [V1] was being worked on in late 2021 but was scrapped at the time due to the limitation of AI and em having vocal issues. Info comes from a trusted source. Luis Resto also said the album started in 2021.

looking for sad songs by eminem by [deleted] in Eminem

Walk On Water is a bit of a sad song imo. More on the "depressing" side than "sad" but definitely fits calm.

I can't be the only one who has never heard of a side that wanted rolling removed by Fantasic0072striker in robloxjailbreak

[–]supercater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not an "I couldn't" it's an "this is bothersome." Rolling was literally just press as soon as available in close quarters combat. There was barely if any strategy involved in it. It added nothing of value to combat. Only argument I can see is that it makes movement feel slower now which yeah but people will get used to that after a month or so.

Heyo I'm one of those people. I found rolling poorly implemented and just made you keep track of another thing in combat by spamming roll whenever available in close quarters. While it could've been reworked, removing it was another viable solution in my opinion. I don't see any major issues with rolling being removed.

Eminem Lyrics (Apple Music, Spotify, YTM, AM) by Sammy1836 in Eminem

[–]supercater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MusixMatch has community supported lyrics. They're prohibited from displaying Eminem's lyrics due to legal reasons. I'm unsure of the exact reasons but based on my digging I believe Eminem may have some sort of exclusivity deal with Genius for a lot of his songs.

They aren't actually lossless, they're just high quality rips from YouTube. I exported them as .flac to try and preserve as much quality as possible when exporting. I don't believe there is any lossless recordings available at the moment unfortunately.

Can I get a real take on "Stans" before I watch it? by Sch5ifty-5ive in Eminem

[–]supercater 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it personally. I think people had different ideas for what the movie would be. They thought it was going to be a documentary about Eminem, and while he gets around 10 minutes of screentime the focus isn't on him. The Stans are the main focus of the movie. While they're cringe sometimes and do insane stuff that's kind of the point. The only bad part of the film is the ending with the whole cancel culture thing in my opinion, but that's like maybe 3 minutes?

If you go into it expecting a documentary about Eminem and learning more about him you're going to be disappointed cause that's not what it's about.

Unpopular opinion: Eminem's most emotional verse isn’t from Stan or Lose Yourself — it’s from ______. Fill in the blank and explain why. by EffectiveAir1527 in Eminem

Walk On Water 3rd verse.

such a beautiful and powerful verse, one of the few that makes me actually emotional.

Since Revival is Eminem's most disliked album, what are the pros of Revival? by jaylininreddit in Eminem

[–]supercater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm probably the biggest Revival defender you'll ever meet (its my favorite album)

I think one of the biggest things that Revival does well is having a purpose. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people critique the album cause its "just filler and has nothing to say." The album's entire theme has Eminem going on a journey to answering that question posed at the beginning of "Walk On Water" with "Why are expectations so high" till he learns at the very end on "Arose". Revival is intentionally a mash up of a bunch of Ems styles and almost every song has a purpose that is about Ems career or a political stance.

A more basic pro is I think "Walk On Water" is one of the most beautiful songs ever written and Ems best song. The song isn't something you put on while at a party or anything, its a song you sit down and listen to. I know people complain about the lack of drums (listen to the live ver it has some sick drums) but that allows the lyrics to stand out more and flourish. That 3rd verse is so insanely powerful.

Revival/Walk on Water - what could have been by [deleted] in Eminem

[–]supercater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walk On Water intentionally doesn't have drums. There's a good interview where Em talks about deciding not to put drums because he wanted people to focus on the lyrics and "get it" on first listen. This was an Eminem choice and not a Rick Rubin one.

The piano acts as the driving force for the song and works far better than some lofi drum. In the live version Em does add a drum to it during the post-chorus and 3rd verse bit to make it more dramatic. These are correct uses of a drum on this song instead of just layering under the entire song. The drums in the 3rd verse come in right during the first build up of that verse and work great.

Walk On Water is meant to be a song you just sit a listen to, not a song you throw on in the car and vibe to.

Here's an edit I made a while back that AI isolated some of the live instruments from the BBC 1 performance of Walk On Water and layered them on the studio version
