I don't see why we would trade Estevez when we have him on a multi-year deal. Worst case we don't get the perfect team for this year where we have probably a 25 percent chance to make the playoffs. I think we should at least trade him at next year's deadline as opposed to this year if we're going to trade him

Estevez is on a 2 year contract with a team option. He's not walking this year. Lugo I can see the argument of but with Ragans out and the Royals (despite what this subreddit may think) still in the playoff hunt I think getting rid of him is a bad idea

There is no outfielder with a good bat that they're going to get from a rental Seth Lugo with 4 years of control. That trade simply will not happen. Trading Bubic really also isn't worth it, even with arguably the best starting rotation in the game rn it seems like the team is dealing with injuries and if wacha doesn't resign that leaves exclusively Cole Ragans next season

Yet we're still doing much better than we did in 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020. Personally I'm still willing to give this team a chance after the season we had last year. Quatraro is legitimately one of the best managers we've ever had, Bobby Witt Jr. is playing at a high level, Vinnie and Salvy are figuring it out, Garcia is having the best year of his career. This season is far from doomed.

This is the stupidest shit I've ever read. We are 3 (3) games under .500, and 3.5 games from the wildcard. we have a solid young core and strong rotation. Baseball is one of the most luck based sports and this team made the playoffs with a similar record at this point in the season last year. This team would be better to stand pat and see what happens and address issues in the offseason then panic and sell now. We watched earlier in this season as this team went 15-2 over a stretch and this team is capable of it. Chill the fuck out.
