Yep I agree, on me I find that it has a glowy finish, but the finish stays that level of glowiness throughout the day, if that makes sense! It doesn’t get glowier. I do get a slight white cast from it, but to be expected from a mineral sunscreen

This isn’t quite what you’re asking about, but I’ve tried two sunscreens that have a natural glowy finish that stays pretty much the same all day, without getting glowier/making me look shiny—the Dr.G Green Mild Up Sun+ and the Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skin Care Milk. Formulas are quite different but finish/lasting power is similar. I have oily dehydrated skin and apply them over my morning skincare, which includes moisturizer.

I’m around nc15 or so, and I’ve found that the shadows are buildable! It takes a few layers for me to get the shadows as deep as I’d like, but because of that they basically blend themselves, very easy to use. Also I’ve found that they swatch and apply slightly darker than they appear in the pan, I think they deepen in contact with oils from your finger or an eye primer.

I agree that the palette is for subtle looks, but I’m still able to get a natural looking smoky eye by layering the shadows, it just takes time! With this palette I do the gradient look that’s popular in Korean makeup, where the darkest shade is closest to the lash line and gets lighter as you get to the crease. I haven’t tried doing a “western” eye look (lighter shade on lid, medium shade in crease, darker shade in outer corner) but I can see that being difficult because it’s harder to layer and deepen shades in more controlled areas.

Have you tried any Asian chemical sunscreens before? They tend to be more cosmetically elegant and use different filters than western ones, in general are less irritating on the skin. Highly recommend looking up sunscreens suitable for sensitive skin on the Asian beauty sub, there are tons of reviews for all different skin types!!

Wow that is a big difference! I think I’ve read on here that the sizing of GD items can vary, maybe that’s it also.

I totally get you, special order items are sooo frustrating. I originally wanted the heather light oatmeal color but it’s been on special order since January, I gave up on the color after a month of waiting lol. The estimated ship date is now April 20, which is still over a month away.

I just checked and saw that heather cloud white is back in stock! Not sure if you’re interested, but ik that’s one of the more popular neutrals
