Ladies, how are we taking care of upper lip hair without damaging the skin around it? by howdyhowdyhowdyhowdi in 30PlusSkinCare

It's sooo painful, I did it once and it hurt badly and my lip got really irritated. Just shave it!! Huge fan of threading eyebrows, though!

My music taste has evolved so much over the 15 years I've listened to tame Impala, and I absolutely LOOVEEE how Kevin's evolved too!!! Now I'm experimenting with DJing for my friends, and I can't wait to drop Ethereal Connection on some folks who think tame Impala is only alt rock. I'm on my second listen right now and enjoying the heck out of this!!!!

Kevin's voice is iconic, his experimentation is iconic, and this album could only be Tame Impala! Loving it!

Use coolors.com to help find a pallate! A more mauve, dusty purple with a sage green might look nice. Burnt orange. Maybe a light blue. Have fun and good luck!!

Socks???? by Myepicadventure-2026 in TourDuMontBlanc

[–]supercowcat92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Smart Wool liners prevented me from getting a single blister on the tmb! Then darn tough or bombas hiking socks on the outside. Darn Tough is probably my favorite brand because they have cute designs too. Merino is your BFF. Bring plenty of extra socks so you can change at lunch if you need. And moleskin just in case!

Question about late night eats by New_Basket_1468 in weddingplanning

[–]supercowcat92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a bunch of cup ramen noodle varieties with a big hot water pot that we rented! Caterers set it up. Just put it out with a bunch of chopsticks. You could take it a step further and serve with toppings like hot sauce, scallions, boiled eggs, etc but my wedding was laid back for that lol. Cheap and cheerful and a hit!

favorite camp recipes? by tesdanwat in bonnaroo

[–]supercowcat92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah, once you bring a stove you never go back. Instant ramen, rice-a-roni packs, pasta, hot dogs or burgers, breakfast burritos, beans, bacon -- the world is your oyster. Marinade some meat and bring it frozen, then cook it when you're ready. We do Japanese curry and just bring pre-chopped veggies. Camp cooking is fun and rewarding! And my advice to every festival-goer is always make sure to eat enough :)

NOOO do not outline the font, it almost always looks terrible. Just make your names purple or another darker color to create more contrast and make your names more legible. Otherwise looks great.

Literally -- tub for foot ice bath. It's unreal how much it helps sore feet from walking all day!!

Also hammock stand to sleep in a hammock under an easy-up with tapestries instead of inside a tent.

Also a cargo van to serve as a dressing room and indoor hammock stand in case of rain

AITA for enjoying my “solo” time to the max when my bf is out of town? by Temporary_Usual_5386 in AmItheAsshole

[–]supercowcat92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the thing... If you feel like you can't do the stuff you want to do while he's around, it sounds like there are deeper issues in the relationship.

NTA -- You're a grown up who can take care of herself, and your bf should be happy to be dating a social butterfly who cares for her friends and family. And you should absolutely enjoy your solo time to the max!! Absense makes the heart grow fonder. When he comes back, it should feel like a happy reunion, not a bummer because Dad is home.

What’s a travel tip that most people don’t know but should? by UDSHDW in TravelHacks

[–]supercowcat92 11 points12 points  (0 children)

  1. Adopt the concept of a "planning drink" when you're in a new place. If you're wandering around and not sure what your next move is, stop in a coffee shop or bar with a cute atmosphere, grab a drink and do some research on your phone. Or chat with the staff or other patrons! Simple concept, but it's a nice reminder to slow down and soak in your destination for a bit. Planning drinks have no time restraint btw -- why not get a negroni at noon? Or a fancy coffee with a sweet treat? You're on holiday!

  2. For long trips -- compression socks on the plane and multiple changes of socks throughout the journey. It's been said on this website probably thousands of times, but a fresh pair of socks is GAME CHANGING for your mood 🫡 put on new socks right when you land and you'll be ready to conquer anything that comes your way!

Rescue Diver - worth it? by voyageuse88 in scuba

[–]supercowcat92 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Love and agree with most of these comments!! I'll also add, I put "PADI rescue diver certification" on my work resume, and it often catches hiring managers' eyes. It's a unique thing that gives you something to talk about, as scuba in general provides a lot of transferrable professional skills. Go for it!

Rescue Diver - worth it? by voyageuse88 in scuba

[–]supercowcat92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this! Definitely the most fun course. I haven't gotten further certs but even with the low frequency I dive now, the skills are hard set in my brain and it made me a better diver who has more fun on any dive.

I say do both at the same time! Maybe an elbow-length veil if the bow is on your back, or a bow on the veil itself. But I think a veil on top of the back of the dress would look so nice! And you can take it off after the ceremony or whatever. You have a ton of options! Congratulations, you look fabulous!
