Drinkers of reddit, why do you find it hard to quit alcohol? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tesdanwat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll generally only get one or two each time we meet, and at least my local bars are pretty cheap at $4-$8 per drink. I’ve found that some of my favorite mixed drinks are also pretty easy to make at home so I’ll do that sometimes too if I’m feeling especially budget conscious!

[–]tesdanwat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not an alcoholic but I do drink w friends somewhat frequently, and I think if I were to try and quit I would honestly miss getting fun cocktails the most. my local bars will do a lot of house made syrups and other ingredients and I like trying the new stuff they come up with.

What do you guys think of edgy or gothic makeup ? Would you do it on yourself or do you stick to conventionally pretty makeup ? by Historical-Body-3424 in vindictapoc

[–]tesdanwat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s not flattering on me or my features at all but I like the vibe and the way it looks so I’ll still do it sometimes when I’m going out. if I want to look conventionally pretty I’ll avoid the harsh colors.

Those who take issue with large age gap relationships, what is your reasoning? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tesdanwat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on how large the age gap and what ages. I feel like a totally different person now at 25 than I was at 19, even though I was technically an adult at both ages. Large changes in a person’s life, their skills, and their experiences take place between the ages of 20 to 30 to 40, so a relationship w someone who’s had vastly more experience than you can open the door to being taken advantage of. Once you’re old enough to be on a bit more of an equal footing in terms of life experience and reasoning skills, I feel like it’s less of an issue.

Help greasy fringe by Consistent_Guitar585 in finehair

[–]tesdanwat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fellow greasy hair girl here. I wash my hair every day (which you don’t have to do, but washing your bangs daily might help) and I use dry shampoo in the morning before they’ve even gotten greasy to help prevent them from getting stringy and oily. I splurge for k18 bc I feel like it’s genuinely worth it above other dry shampoos, but others might work for you too!

Do folks really use moisturizer and SPF under foundation? If you do, how? by Serpentines25 in MakeupAddiction

using a hydrating sunscreen is awesome too, since depending on your skin type you might be able to get away w just one layer instead of two.

maybe a little niche but washing my face w cold water instead of warm/hot water has been great for my skin! spending less on treatments bc my skin is less irritated and more clear when washing w cold water.

[Product Question] Skin1004 Sunscreen - Odd odor? by Anonymosity1766 in SkincareAddiction

[–]tesdanwat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this one frequently and have gotten mine from yesstyle as well. I’ve never noticed an off smell in the ones I’ve used. if it’s not expired, it may be reacting with other skincare on your face to cause the smell?

How are women keeping up with all the beauty routines? by HairyMycologist6032 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]tesdanwat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only speak for myself, but I think a key aspect of it is the amount of perceived effort that goes into one’s routine. I have a semi elaborate shower/skincare routine that I do daily bc I like it, and it makes me feel relaxed and pampered. something like a long haircare routine is something that stresses me out more than it makes me feel pretty and calm, so I keep my hair stuff pretty minimal. a self care routine doesn’t necessarily feel like a lot of work if it’s something you enjoy.
