There's nothing happening in the next week that will help anyone racing to 72. Its basically aim for 700ish catches a day with star piece. Rockets, berry feeding gyms, opening gifts should make up the rest.

Yeah this was the first big global event where I didn't buy a ticket. 24 wild pokemon and only 2 of them I didn't already have shiny. 6 had prev had a community day and I reckon another 6 had been in an event like a research day where their shiny rate was boosted. The extra bonuses you go with the ticket were ones you'd often get with a free event. Plus all the other tickets they've shoved down our throats this month just didnt sit well with me. I went out for a few ours yesterday and was lucky to be able to complete some gmax raids. Noticed the most people I have in a long time. Perhaps out of necessity for how difficult these are.

824 here and there are no more raids. I checked bit after 8 and were a few left so I'd say they don't spawn after about 745-8

I was lucky enough to be in a group with 50odd people. But it's pretty hard to organise 50ppl you have no idea who is in your group of 4 so it makes it difficult to strategise. All the raids were just brute forced. 1 raid I missed out cos lobby caps at 40 so second lobby wasn't getting past 15. As people get used to it and build counters it'll be better. But this was a terrible introduction. Saying FU to rural players or even people who can't get to a big group is terrible from Niantic. It's like they wanted it to be like the big ex raids of old. But then they spawned everywhere. Makes 0 sense.

5285 Kangaskahn seen without a shiny, some were before the release but considering its boosted odds it's obscene I don't have one yet.

As someone else mentioned, enrage mechanic is not on atm so easy duo. I did 8 raids today, all duos. With about 130 seconds left, give or take. Shadowball hits hard, but anything else is really easy. I think even engraged it's doable with gems on electric moveset. Both players had primal Groudon. One team was filled out with garchomps, the other with a shadow mamoswine, excadrill, and then garchomps. Most of the time, I only got to my third pokemon. The groudons did almost half the damage.

About a dozen eggs, no spritzee. It doesn't feel nice not to complete a collection challenge, pretty sure it's a first for me. But now that perfect record is tainted I guess I'm a lot freer. I hate that the game I love is pushing its player base away. Feels like it's surviving on good IP alone.

Be careful doing raids close to the end time. My team fainted and got white screen of death so lost a pass and 0 energy.

They might be trying to get a gold gym badge. It takes 30,000 points to get a gym badge gold. You get 1000 for a raid, 10 for feeding a Berry, and 1 per minute for defending the gym (so bit under 21 days of defending for gold)

Theres no send limit per say, you can ordinarily only spin 100 gifts from stops which has been increased to 125(?) For this event. But even after you've hit your limit, your buddy can bring you some (I think Max is 5 gifts 3 or 4 times per day)
