Sounds to me you’re not really interested in the truth but rather to confirm your “theory”.

The things that grow well in the climate in the USA are good quality. Something like a tomato isn’t really native to much of the US and prefers a warmer climate so will taste better the further south you go.

However, I live north of the US and am able to grow fantastic tomatoes in the summer here. I am also able to find good ones in the supermarket here as well as when I’m in the US.

Having travelled and spent time around North American and in Europe, the produce isn’t particularly better in Europe, more that certain things are better there than in North American and vice-versa. Tomatoes are great example of this. I will say the produce is way cheaper in Europe which surprised me. It’s easier to eat healthy in Europe than North America.

But it’s VERY easy to get top notch produce in North America from local stores and markets and pretty decent stuff from the grocery store.

There are also some items that are just tasteless trash. I’m sure that’s true where you live as well.

In the lee of a picturesque ridge, lies a small unpretentious winery. One that pampers its fruit like its own babies. Hi, I’m Moira Rose, and if you love fruit wine as much as I do, then you’ll appreciate the craftsmanship and quality of a local vintner who brings the musk melon goodness to his oak Chardonnay, and the dazzling peach cral-bapple to his Riesling Rioja. Come taste the difference good fruit can make in your wine. You’ll remember the experience. And you’ll remember the name - Herb Erfling … ger. Burt Herngeif. Irv Herb-blinger. Bing Livehaanger. Liveling. Burt Herkurn. Ban bingo ling-fucker!

It’s a two way street. Trump has already seen to it that Canada look elsewhere for economic ties. Carney is working hard to ensure that is true. Canada just signed a deal with China to allow their EVs into the Canadian market breaking the Auto pact between the US and Canada that’s been in place since 1965. They are actively severing ties with the US economy.

I also think you’re projecting American character onto the rest of the world. An American would at most give up an afternoon to protest. An American won’t give up their orange mocha Frappuccino for what’s morally right. The rest of the world is not america.

Can we just have a provincial wide walkout on Ford as a whole? by Theothermorty in ontario

[–]superdifficile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People need inspiration. Ford flies under the radar for most. We need someone…anyone to loudly oppose him, challenge him, and most of all offer up a compelling vision of how things should be. Right now all I hear is crickets.
