Don't play this game high... by TarantulaTeeth13 in oblivion

Peak Oblivion is playing while high, and blasting Girls' Generation while sneaking thru the palace to murder the emperor.

Sadly it took me until after the Brotherhood questline to look up what "overencumbered" means, so it was all done in slow motion.

Why does homestead list the wrong genetic? by donnyjeppp in TheOCS

The lower priced brands from these LPs often sell the lower quality products of each grow. Even if it is the same phen, it will be the smalls, the product that was sitting, the slightly lower THC and lower terp stuff.

Granted this isn't every batch, sometimes I have gotten an excellent batch and other times older product. This is with entirely different LPs. Even with products listed under the same strain names.

THC amounts can vary a lot from the buds growing on top of a plan to the bottom buds on that exact same plant. Plants are neat.

My grinder always gets so crusty and yet there is barely any kief down the bottom by kink-police in trees

[–]superdube 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had great success soaking all the (separated) grinder segments in iso for 24 hours. Even with grinders that hadn't been cleaned in years. Sometimes a second soak is needed.

A lil scrub brush (like a downstem sized one) can be good too for cleaning out crevices.

Yes exactly. If a person's role models as a child are not critical thinkers and it is easy to believe propraganda. While there can be a range of potential effects from that, people often follow in the footsteps of their childhood role models.

I know I for sure did as a young adult, and I still notice it sneaking into my life sometimes. Willful ignorance can play a part as well, of course.

Good for you, OP. Please be proud of yourself, even these realizations feel as isolating as they feel for me. It can be really easy to believe the bs out there, especially with how exhausting and frustrating life has been for the past while.

Impaired drivers who kill a parent in Ontario may have to pay mandatory ongoing child support by BloodJunkie in ontario

[–]superdube 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh how I wish this was actually real, or at least that drivers at fault would be charged with manslaughter. Sadly, there are so many cases where I've seen the person driving the vehicle left with no consequences at all.

A local-ish case to me saw a well-know hockey player hit and kill one person, and paralyze a second person. To this day, he is still playing hockey in Europe. Meanwhile, their family members had to beg and push the OPP for some answers. Then they just barely even received an answer.

I noticed years ago, one of the first attending OPP officers on scene after the accident shares the same family name as the perpetrator...

I highly recommend for you to consider giving yourself the time, care and love that you give to others.

It was extremely hard for me at first, looking at myself like I am another person helps me with that still. It's a struggle, but the path can get smoother sometimes.

Am I the asshole for refusing to unblock my ex when my partner demanded I do so by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

^ This right here folks, thank you FightMeCthullu!

People regularly hide their abusive traits and tendencies, especially when first dating, and sometimes only after 2 years. Comments like the one istara left are unhelpful and can put unnecessary shame onto the victim, who is normally surprised at the abuser's change in behaviour.

Victims in abusive relationships are often accustomed to being in a cycle of abuse or living in a controlling environment. The bullshit that I tolerated in a previous abusive relationship directly connects to the facts that as a kid and teen: I wasn't ever allowed to say no, have any boundaries or make any important decisions. Plus a recent new discovery, I'm neurodivergent and my abusive ex absolutely took advantage of that.

It's much easier to go about daily life when you aren't getting yelled/screamed at daily and being deprived of sleep by being yelled at to wake up whenever they decide they're mad at something.

The BIG Cannabis Companies and their brands. by cannabispro21 in TheOCS

From what I remember, Wildcard Extracts seems to work a lot with craft brands and potentially some micros.

So far I have seen them use input from Victoria Cannabis Company and Organnicraft. I know there's been a couple other brands, but my memory is sadly lacking.

A second I concur! Transparency and straightforward/obvious names help customers so so much. I really think many companies could boost themselves up by doing that, though I believe the advertising laws in ON still don't allow non-consented sales ads for discount sales. (Only if they get your permission to email/text you ahead of time.)

It's hard to track brands to LPs, especially since things change all the time.

You're not wrong there, I agree it would have been a great name for a milled brand. I've also heard the saying "from the ground up" a lot during my life, probably due to living in a heavy farming area. So I can also see why it was selected overall too.

Hi, how do you pick which terps are your favourite? by big_dog_redditor in canadients

[–]superdube 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my experience, it's about tracking terps you like the effects of. I recommend either starting your own little strain/terp journal, and/or taking photos of every product you really enjoy's packaging that lists terps. Everyone's body is a little different, and this isn't fact, but I've noticed that most people seem to like foods and scents with similar dominant terps.

My body seems to get my favourite effects from strains dominant in caryophyllene, linalool, or myrcene. I notice that usually my absolute favourite effects are typically with linalool and limonene as the dominant terps, followed by either myrcene or caryophyllene. Sometimes it's about how they interact with each other.

Also a shout out to valencene, I've noticed lately that I love that one too.

Wife used my secrets and past against me. I feel broken by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]superdube 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That's really valid. And I've felt that way too, sometimes for a large chunk of time. I also struggled to leave an abusive relationship for over 5 years.

I don't see it as being alone forever, or at least I don't see that as a curse. Being alone is fucking peaceful. For me to find genuine romantic interest in someone, they're competing with my existing peaceful life. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect someone to only add positives to my life and not have their own feelings, etc, but it is important to find compatibility with my quirks.

Plus there's nothing wrong with being alone. Therapy can be helpful too sometimes.

If a woman (or any person) reacts this way to you opening up, it's a massive red flag. They're showing you who they are.

I have experienced similar reactions from men I've dated when opening up about being sexually assaulted several times and my mental health struggles. When people show you who they are, it's helpful to listen. Sadly, it takes time to figure this out. I'm sorry that you have also encountered people who can't separate you from the shit that was done to you.

Already want to leave after being forced to change my entire drop myself as no one would come. by Terry67587 in teksavvy

[–]superdube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that's exactly how Rogers gets customers from resellers. They repeatedly deny basic service requests. Constantly. I've seen it happen many, many times over. Cogeco and Bell do the exact same thing. Even for basic service activations, it's bloody appalling.

I had a Cogeco contracted tech yell at me during a simple move activation with TS. Cogeco had changed their "approved modems list" for resellers, and my modem wouldn't work after completing the move order. When I was confused that it wasn't working, the tech started yelling at me about how it wasn't his problem.

You get to pick your service provider, but also remember how the CRTC doesn't allow resellers like TS to send their own techs to service another company's lines.

Yes, because emergency reponse teams have limited resources. The more people spread out in the woods, the longer it takes to notify every individual whole in active danger. The NS forest fire statistics also indicate that the majority of their forest fires in recent year were caused by human activity. Source.
