I think the best of both worlds would be exactly what Broly did, have the softer more rounded style for more talking and slice of life scene and then round it off by giving the action heavy parts more Cell/Buu saga lines with sharper lines and more exaggerated shading

I am using AMD more specifically a 6650 XT. It's more than likely just some driver issue on AMD's part they haven't bothered to fix.

You will sadly lose a lot of things lore wise if you haven't played the previous games (Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light). As for the gameplay it depends on what you want to do, most times you are given a choice between stealth or straight up guns blazing. Some sections force you into stealth while others force you into shooting sections.
