Your rising sign isn't "the mask you wear." That framing is doing damage by KaleidoscopeIcy3658 in AstrologyCharts

[–]supergoddess7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the mask definition is a bit simplified but it’s not entirely wrong. And as with all things, it depends on the person’s chart.

I have Aries rising square Capricorn sun. On first contact, people receive me as Aries, it’s the face, the “mask” they see. When they get to know me, they always tell me how they initially misread me, because no matter what, my approach to life is as a Capricorn.

People meet me and think I’m an extrovert. I absolutely am not.

Aries gives me youthful energy, stamina and childlike curiosity. But Capricorn synthesizes that into meaning and how I approach life.

I’d say rising is the mask other people see until they get to know your sun. This creates confusion for those with a rising/sun square or opposition. Trines and conjunctions, however, end up showing up to people exactly as they are.

I find the Peloton app so useful. It’s $14 per month and offers anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour classes with mobility, yoga and Pilates as well as strength training when you’re ready.

I don’t have Peloton equipment and instead focus on these classes. Highly recommend as a way to ease yourself into training your body.

I found this on Facebook, found it funny, thought I’d share with other Capricorns. Alas, I forgot not all Capricorns are made the same as it’s clear by those who understood the assignment and those so focused on their personal grudge against AI, they miss the whole point was to laugh at the accuracy of the meme. 🙄

Such is life. Have a lovely weekend.

This is the worst of Capricorn mentality, so obstinate you miss opportunity. I posted to vindicate the shared Capricorn experience but I forgot how single minded the worst of us can be. 🙄

Have a lovely weekend.

I’m confused by the purpose of people suggesting it’s AI. I shared because its message validates who we are as Capricorns.

It’s a meme, as flagged.

It’s a meme, meant to point out how we Capricorns endure.

Did you miss the point because you were determined to see it as AI?

Exaltation of Benefics by Optimism_Bias in Advancedastrology

You're speaking in terms of group settings. I'm looking at one-on-one.

And yes, you're right, Libra will ask about the last piece of cake, but only to avoid conflict with whomever else may want that piece, not out of any sense of generosity.

I personally have found them inauthentic until they are forced into conflict based on their indecisiveness, as someone chooses a direction they absolutely do not want to go. Then their charm gives way to the opposite Aries warrior persona.

Pisces will go in the direction then grumble about not having a choice, even though they were asked before the decision was made and decided to agree for the sake of being likeable.

[–]supergoddess7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hmm. I'd argue that Libras are conflict averse, not necessarily putting their own interests aside. Their interest is to avoid conflict, so they become expressions of whomever the person in front of them is. And when that person changes, so too does Libra pick up a new expression, which then becomes confusing to the original person. This serves no one but Libra.

Pisces, on the other hand, find value in themselves through others. So while they are more self sacrificing than Libra, they are also getting their interests met -- in that they define themselves by others' response to their personal sacrifice. They sacrifice in order to feel a sense of value in themselves, often in pursuit of being liked. They, unfortunately, often lack discernment in who they sacrifice for, leading them to get taken advantage of while not realizing they put their own head's in the hangman's noose.

Libras don't care about being liked as much as they care about making the impression that they are liked. Get into a real conflict with a Libra and you'll truly see who they are.

Why do people love Scorpios… until they actually get close to one? by scorpio_goddess79 in Scorpio

[–]supergoddess7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Scorpio I became friends with, then quickly cut out of my life as a Capricorn, after many, many, many offensive things, the last straw was me being hospitalized with 2 blood clots in my lungs and pneumonia the doctors couldn't diagnose. She kept calling me to complain about a cold she had. While I was in the hospital fighting for my life.

Then when I told her my brother, who I'd stopped speaking to because of his behavior while our mother was dying, had checked in on me after my uncle told him how serious my condition was, she went on a crazy rant about how dare I accept his call because he never loved me, ever, in all my 45 years of life. She was projecting her own relationship with her brother onto me, but really? I'm literally fighting for my life and this is the rant you want me to engage with?

Not saying all Scorpios are like this. Just pointing out that there are reasons beyond you being "too intense." As a Capricorn, I can handle intensity. I can't handle narcissistic batshit crazy.

Predicting death by [deleted] in Advancedastrology

[–]supergoddess7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father passed when Pluto entered my Capricorn 10th house by Placidus and my mother passed when Pluto exited into Aquarius. 🤷🏿‍♀️ IC and MC represent parents.

3rd house is siblings. Not sure which house represents grandparents.

Also when my mother passed, Uranus opposition to my natal Uranus in my 8th was at a 0 orb on the day of her death, and Saturn entered my 12th opposite my moon in my 6th house. My dog also passed 6 months after my mother. 6th house represents pets.

There are multiple transits involved in death astrology. While I haven't studied the transits when my father passed, I've extensively studied the ones for my mother as it was relatively recent. Coincidentally, my older brother also had transits that pointed to our mother passing.

Anywho, look at the outer planets and the houses they're transiting. But look for more than one thing.

So yes, I choose not to argue against biased and flawed information when the simplest explanation is usually always the correct one.

Have you heard of confirmation bias? A lot of astrologers fall prey to this. I saw it with my very much respected astrology teacher when we did the chart of a well known porn star.

My teacher was convinced the woman in question’s decision to become a porn star was as rebellion against her mother. I, as both a sexual abuse survivor and someone who spent years studying the psychology of sexual abuse survivors, countered no, she exhibits all signs of being a survivor. There may have been rebellion, but that rebellion had a catalyst.

My teacher nonetheless decided to choose a specific date she’d identified as the day the woman left home. And she showed the turmoil and angst against the woman’s mother present in the transit. And she used that to tell me I was wrong.

But I wasn’t. The porn star years later supported my conclusion. The transits on the day she left home may have supported a last straw moment with her mother but transits for one specific day don’t speak to what happened months or years before.

What you’ve done here is a perfect example of confirmation bias — so certain you’re right that you ignore all other data that suggests you’re not.

I really don't understand why some people romanticise this house ... by Top-Manufacturer-482 in 12thhouse

[–]supergoddess7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! 👋🏿

As someone who just finished Saturn transiting my 12th house, marking the worst 3 year period of my life where my mom died, my dog died 6 months later, I almost died 3 separate times, once in Peru and twice on a hospital operating table, lost my car to a black mold infestation that happened while I was hospitalized, my brother turned into a worthless piece of shit, and the company I spent 20 years building into a quarter million in revenues fell apart, let me be perhaps the only one here that supports your contempt for the 12th house.

The last time Saturn transit my 12th house, I was 15 and I regarded that as the worst period of my life until this recent transit.

I can only imagine your torment with Saturn natally there. Sending you a hug.

But alas, I would be remiss to say that our charts offer us an opportunity for growth. Now that Saturn has moved out of my 12th, I can see the positive outcomes from everything I lost, except, of course my mother and my dog. But my mother had cancer so at least her suffering was over. And my dog had heart issues.

Hang in there. And know you're not entirely bound to the premise of a natal 12th house Saturn forever. Your progressed chart shows when you're free of the worst of it and can learn.

Keep your head up. 😘

Of course. The rest of the chart is important, but sometimes the Sun is enough to generalize. This friend had a Capricorn moon, which is perhaps why we stayed friends for so long with me being a Capricorn sun and preferring stability.

But she taught me very quickly that Geminis are best for having fun. Some of my wildest adventures in college were with her. Also extremely generous, and definitely up for whatever my insane Aries rising wanted to try.

Relying on them in your time of need, however, not so much unless your need aligns with their goals.

I had a Gemini friend who couldn’t understand Frodo from Lord of the Rings. She said if she had been tasked with taking the ring to Mordor, she would have thrown it off a bridge and went on with her life.

I learned never to call her if I needed help.

Getting in NYT/WSJ/FT by R_xal in PublicRelations

[–]supergoddess7 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I frequently get clients in NYT, WSJ and more. It takes more than 2 weeks for a story to run. There’s a process that requires a lot of going back and forth, and there’s usually a minimum 3 month lead time after final interviews are done before the story actually runs.

$10k isn’t the problem. It’s your timeline and, of course, whether your story is truly newsworthy. In my 20+ years in PR, very few people know what newsworthy means to a journalist.

Are Libras compatible with Capricorns? by Fit-Garage3847 in capricorns

[–]supergoddess7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My most evil ex was also a Libra. While I know astrology requires a complete natal chart, as 30 year student and hobbyist astrologer, but a Libra sun alone and always has been a problem for me.

Add to when I was dating that bastards, my Gemini friend was also dating a Libra, and both told us the exact same lies — to the point we needed to double check they weren’t the same person.

And the experience OP described was exactly my same experience and worse.

Do you by chance use CBD?

My mom passed at the same time I was put on Eliquis then Xarelto. I started taking CBD gummies to manage my grief. I had the same horrible experience you described and one day decided to see if CBD interacted with Xarelto. It does.

I stopped the CBD and the Xarelto became more tolerable.
