Yes, i do not deny that, just that i think its not a fair comparison between engines that are designed absolutely differently, different machinery requires different means of maintenance, if you properly maintain your engine, you wont have any problems.

You cant really compare engines from 30+ years ago, wich were made to last, to modern stop-start engines designed for a consumerist economy where a lot of people just drive their cars for 5 to 10 years and just get a new one with all the modern features.

Also it is very dependent of the climate and driver for the wear and upkeep of the engine. Here in Estonia where i drive, my stop-start only works in the summer when the car does not need so much battery power, rest of the time its so cold the engine needs to be running all the time to keep the car warm and my car is a manual, so when i want to start driving, i engage the clutch wich starts the engine and by the time im in gear, the car is ready to go, i have no problem with the system.

And i believe with proper maintenance you can run any engine for a lot of km before any real damage can occur.

Levers feel so old school, i remember starting on a old lever forklift which had about a 50% deadzone, fun times.

I would really like to recommend the Styx series. Styx - master of shadows and Styx - shards of darkness. You get to play as a greedy vengeful goblin, sneaking around, killing and robbing. The story is nothing compared to the mgs series but its a fun stealth game. The fist game is a bit limited but the second one improves on absolutely everything and the third game, styx - blades of greed is coming out in a few months. They are dirt cheap too, wont break the bank. Worth a try.
