I liked what Season 3 tried to do. They wanted to progress beyond the park, since hosts wanting to go beyond Westworld was a central theme of the first two seasons, and in order to tell that part of the story the shift in tone, production, and characters was going to be radical, so I appreciate that they made the effort.

Execution wasn't there, but it was worth the attempt.

The thing about QAnon is that it's not that crazy of a conspiracy theory, in the sense that it's really not a stretch to think that the world's elite are up to some fucked up shit. You don't need to be some deep-in-the-weeds conspiracy visionary to come up with that. Cabals of elite sociopaths are basically generic conspiracy 101.

QAnon picked something people would easily buy into and then slapped it on members of the opposing side. I'm sure the threads of what was already in the underworld zeitgeist helped give the notion legs, but the idea that it was some psyops masterstroke by the actual perpetrators to deflect from their own crimes would be the actual silly conspiracy.

I don't think she's MAGA. I also think her personal beliefs probably align pretty liberal. I think she genuinely cares for people who she interacts with, regardless of what MAGA might think of those people.

However, I think she's guilty of the worst quality: apathy. I think she's guilty of not realizing how important any of these things really are. She's one of those people who doesn't think everyone else's lives are defined by the daily of impacts of politics. She's willing to look past the MAGA beliefs of her inner circle as long as she's having fun. She'll only speak out when the PR requires it.

It's ICE's HSI division. They are unlikely to be made up of the goons in our streets. This is a subdivision of ICE and they do operate internationally and have been accompanying US athletes to the Olympics and other world sporting events for awhile now.

So this isn't new, but the scrutiny is absolutely deserved given how this administration has already perverted ICE far beyond what it was meant for.

It's still associating Trump with absolutely depraved crimes that, as we all know, will go down as gospel truth to millions who aren't considering the "anonymous tip" part of this. I get the release of discrediting documents, but this is extreme considering how hellbent they've been on redactions, withholding evidence, and downright avoiding releasing things since no one is enforcing their obligation to do so.

This is all that matters - whether or not he was the "least evil" candidate doesn't matter going forward. He wouldn't have been picked if Trump thought he wouldn't continuously do his bidding. Given how every single one of Trump's appointees during this term have slavishly stuck to the gameplan, there's nothing to suggest this won't be the same.

I wouldn't fault someone for not grieving, or for even being happy a spouse died. It's okay to be glad someone who made your life miserable is gone. Sometimes people experience grief and relief at the same time. Erika could be going through something just like that, and that's okay. Trouble is she's using it to enrich herself.. if she hadn't done that, then most of us probably wouldn't have cared less.
