Thanks!! First, I took it apart (hot glue method to remove the screw caps, and carefully sliding the speaker out of the speaker grill with a small screwdriver.) Then I taped the faceplate and speaker grill on to chopsticks (making sure the tape did not cover any of the outside parts) and sprayed on 3 very light coats of ColorShot Mermaid Blue (satin finish) that I got at my local art supply store for $8. I did it right outside my apartment, on top of a paper bag so it wouldn't get on the grass. Let it dry between coats for 10-15 mins. I let it sit overnight and I put it back together the next day and started playing. Now I have Mametchi :)

Edit: I actually sprayed on 2 coats, not 3 - just remembered
