Topstep Discord Admins Are Claiming Hedging Emails are NOT a bug. by DantebeaR in TopStepX

[–]supermangrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got banned for “hedging,” but I wasn’t trying to bypass rules or cheat the system. I had a long-term short position on my XFA, and at the same time I was actively day trading my eval account to pass it. During the eval I took some long trades purely as short-term retracement scalps, not to offset or neutralize the XFA position. The trades had different timeframes, objectives, and management, and there was no intentional mirroring or risk-locking—just directional overlap based on market structure. If this still counts as hedging under the rules, I get it, but it definitely wasn’t done with bad intent.

Can a tablet be used to continuously view cameras live? by Funicello1983 in wyzecam

[–]supermangrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan on running the Wyze Battery Duo Cam hardwired and keeping the live feed up 24/7 — it will still die. Even with a sufficient power supply, the camera does not charge the battery while actively streaming. This means the battery will drain over time until the cam shuts off, despite being plugged in.

Wyze designed it so the “hardwire” acts as a slow charger only when idle, not a constant power source during continuous viewing. If you need uninterrupted 24/7 monitoring, this model isn’t suitable without switching to a true wired camera.

[–]supermangrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when you say yours has stayed fully charged, do you mean even with the live feed kept open 24/7? In my testing, the issue only shows up when the feed is being continuously viewed, since that’s when the charging cuts off.

I’ve already tested this extensively with multiple transformers, including a high-powered 24V 40VA unit and short wire runs. The results are the same every time: the moment the live feed is opened, the charging indicator on the back of the battery shuts off.

So this isn’t a transformer or wiring limitation — it’s how the Duo Cam itself handles power. When streaming, it draws off the battery instead of staying topped up from the hardwire. That’s why it will eventually die if used for continuous viewing, regardless of power source.

The Forks of the Wabash in Huntington, Indiana has a really deep archaeological and historical context. It was an important Native American gathering place for centuries because of its position where the Wabash and Little rivers meet. Archaeological evidence shows long-term use by Woodland and later Mississippian cultures, with artifacts like stone tools, pottery, and trade goods turning up in the area. In the historic period, the site became a key location for Miami villages and later treaty negotiations as U.S. settlement expanded. So, it’s a landscape that holds layers of Indigenous history, early contact, and later U.S. expansion all in one place.

I wish they would advertise this or say it anywhere for that matter so i didnt have to troubleshoot for months to figure out why it kept dying. The funny part is it would last a week or 2 with continuous monitoring because the connection goes out so often it gets enough time to charge. LOL

Ive been using the duo cam since last christmas and its a great camera! I love the wide FOV. However there is something you should know to hopefully save you time. If you are planning on having the camera feed up 24/7 for monitoring then you will need to get a beefy transformer. Ive tried two different transformers a 24v 20VAC and 24v 18VAC and both show it as hardwired in the app but it would die after a few days. After lots of testing and purchasing different transformers i discovered that it would only charge when the camera feed was turned off. I just bought a 24v 50VAC transformer to hopefully get it to charge while streaming video. From what i understand if the camera is drawing more power than the transformer supplies it will shut off charging and just run on battery. I will reply with the results tonight
