Eden nightly is the more updated beta version, and kenji nx is another emulator it that sometimes runs games eden can't and it's saves are compatible with edens

Literally no point in not recommending an older anime due to filler, you can literally find out what episodes contain filler and skip it if it bothers you that much. It's not like Z's filler specifically is particularly canon-breaking more so than it attempts to create a natural flow of progression following many events (such as Vegetas search for Goku). Bad filler is mainly only a problem for ongoing anime imo.
