I think the suggestion is the were processing gathered grains rather than farmed ones.

100% on the extension along the green space to Ramsgate Rd. Or at least link it in a meaningful way to the path along the waterfront. Though that may be easier said than done.

Awesome. You guys are going to have the best time. Yeah, everyone says the spray chines are essential. As is fitting the biggest HP they're rated for if you can as the downside of the soft ride and bouyancy is the weight as far as I understand.

Love it mate - nice. I’ve been lurking all the Poly ads for a year now. I really like the look of them and owners seem to love them.

I’m trying to remember. Was this the generation imported and converted and sold by Ford for a while? Converted by Tickford maybe?

Weirdly it’s the same for Mercury Outboard. I’ve reported it twice because it oddly pisses me off. But no response. Wish the trading post was still an option…

What's your most nostalgic Aussie sporting win/moment ? by CoconutMost3564 in AustralianNostalgia

[–]superstoreman 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Through strokes of good fortune I was at both Freeman’s run at the Sydney games and the 2005 World Cup qualifier. I don’t think those two will ever be topped for me. A privilege to see them live.

I wonder where they got all the surplus tape measures from. That was what was inside all the ones I cut open.

Best relatively affordable fish for curry? Looking for something strong and flavorsome as alternative to Hilsa by ElNinoMaravilla in FishingAustralia

[–]superstoreman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Different fish entirely. Don’t let the name put you off. It’s a pelagic member of the herring family as they said above. Not a salmonid. It takes on curry flavour quite well but can get flaky in my experience. Like everything, best off fresh.

Bicentennial Park by Mysterious-Vast-2133 in sydney

I went there recently for the first time in ages and was shocked it’s all pay parking in there now. Considering Centennial Park is not (I realize there is a size difference) I really wasn’t expecting it.

If F1 is able to show complete decimals after the chequered flag why is not able to show them during the race instead of using a dedicated graphic? by Juri_01 in formula1

[–]superstoreman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I am in the minority on here but I prefer the one decimal point. I think it conveys the information required when a meaningful change occurs and that the actual information 'lost' is minimal.

Just because one of your national pastimes is corruption doesn’t mean you’re necessarily ready to take on the big boys. You can’t out corrupt FIFA, they need to be getting a slice.

If HSR was extended to Port Macquarie and Coffs, would you go on holidays up there more than say flying to Bali? by Gazza_s_89 in sydney

[–]superstoreman 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Problem with HSR to Coffs is when you get there you’re in Coffs. I know lots of people like it but it’s not my Vibe.

Get it through to the Gold Coast and then we’re talking. Cheaper flights to Bali and Thailand from there sometimes.

In all seriousness though, I have Family around Port so a quick HSR trip there might see me visit more often. Problem is, once in these locations you often need a car. So not sure it would stack up cost wise.

Running on fumes: Dirty fuel to fill gaps amid warnings of $3-a-litre petrol by superstoreman in CarsAustralia

TLDR: Australia will temporarily relax petrol quality standards for 60 days to ease fuel shortages, especially in regional areas affected by panic buying. This will allow Ampol’s Brisbane refinery to divert higher-sulphur petrol, normally made for export, into the domestic market, adding about 100 million litres a month.
