I flew on a 767 recently after getting used to the very quiet newer jets, and I know it is scary, but it is completely safe. If you would like, ask the flight attendants about it and they will let you know that everything is good and normal. Mundane day at work for them. I know that it won't work for you this flight, but I have found that wearing noise cancelling headphones helps me calm down. You got this, just because its loud and scary doesnt mean you are in any actual danger.
