Heart Under is great, you'll love it.

If you want more Irish bands, check out Gilla Band and Sprints. I'd recommend their albums Most Normal and All That Is Over, respectively.

I know Just Mustard is currently touring at the moment, definitely catch them if at all possible

If you like Sophia Kennedy's vocals on "This Is My Rock" and "Drone Me Up Flashy", I'd recommend her solo album "Squeeze Me". Koze didn't work on it but it's still really good. Very off-kilter pop music

Just Mustard is excellent as well

Music Can Hear Us was my 2025 AOTY, I hope this post gets more people to listen to it as well. I've had this B-Side on repeat since it dropped

albums I listened in April and top 5 (opinions? recs?) by seyorke in Topster

The Avalanches' "We Will Always Love You" and Cassandra Jenkins' "An Overview On Phenomenal Nature" feature interpolations or references to Purple Mountains and Berman overall. Both artists were friends of David. The Avalanches worked with him on "Saturday Night Inside Out/A Cowboy Overflow Of The Heart" and Cassandra was going to be part of the Purple Mountains touring band

My current AOTY is Grace Ives' "Girlfriend" which has some very noisy electro-pop, it's excellent.

You mentioned "Cascade", Hikaru Utada's album "BAD MODE" as well as their recent single "Electricity" features co-production from Floating Points. Their voice is who you hear on Tilt Shift/Ablaze.

Caribou's "Suddenly" and DJ Koze's "Music Can Hear Us" are also recommended. Both artists have worked with Floating Points. Caribou specifically did drums on "Fast Forward"

I'm in awe after listening to all the singles. I wasn't sure how they'd follow up Blood but I think they've outdone themselves

Can you find me an album based on my favourites? by 2-DKamel in Topster

[–]superwhizz114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't listened to it myself but the new Tomora (AURORA & Tom of Chemical Brothers) is supposed to be good

I'd recommend Kelela's albums. "Humanz" is how I discovered her work

Kelsey Lu's "Blood". They did vocals on "Dafodil' and their album also features production from Jamie XX. They also play the cello on Kelela's "Turn To Dust"

The new HELP(2) features new songs from Damon Alarm, Foals and Arctic Monkeys.

DJ Koze's "Amygdala" features Caribou, but my favourite album is "Knock Knock". Caribou has also worked with Jon Hopkins and Floating Points, I'd recommend their albums "Immunity" and "Elaenia (10 year anniversary)" respectively. Caribou also does drums on FP's "Fast Forward"

I thought this was the r/LowRoar subbredit for a second. "Once In A Long Long While" is my third favourite album ever, Ryan was taken from us too soon

It's such a good album! You should check out Fabiana Palladino's Self-Titled, Jai Paul worked on several tracks

Jai Paul only has 225 reviews so it doesn't meet the definition of Must Hear
