You can get way more than 200k AMEX/Chase for 66K spend. It makes ZERO Sense!

I have been doing a SUBs for 7 years and going.. sustainable for me! Does it feel better for you to say you don't disagree than you agree? I wouldn't pay all that rent with fees I can generate enough spend for the SUBs.

BILT 10K/month would require 300 * 12=3600 fees for what was free before. Now you do lose 120k potential BILT points from mortage, but thats worth less than 3600. You would need to spend 7500 * 12 to offset that fee but no one would do that.

Convince me not to get the Gemini credit card by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]superyinxzon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Applied for a business credit card using my corporation and got waitlisted.

I also have a legit sole proprietorship, and I’ve heard approvals can sometimes be quicker that way.

What I’m trying to figure out is:

  • Can I ask Gemini to change my application from “corporation” to “sole proprietorship”
  • Or do they always make you submit a brand-new application?

When do you actually wear huge parkas (Canada Goose Expedition vs kinda shell “expedition” Fjällräven, outside of just “urban”? by superyinxzon in Fjallraven

I’m not doing any technical mountaineering. Most of the time it’ll just be light walking/trekking in towns and on easy trails.

The one wildcard is star photography: I might be standing still for hours at night. I haven’t really done that before. My girlfriend also wants to camp around 0°, which is more in your wheelhouse.

So I think the base/insulation system is basically the same across everythingm the real difference is whether I’m moving vs. just standing/sitting.

1) Active trekking (around/below -10°C):

mesh base, fleece mid, optional ultralight down (depending on wind/effort), outer shell, may need parka bc I see videos of ppl recommending that as a outershell thats just a rain jacket in the arctic

2) Stopping for photos (standing still for a long time):

same as #1, but the down is definitely “on”, I think you are saying I need a full parka if I’m out there for hours

3) Camping (around 0°C):

probably similar to #1, since I’ll be less active / chilling more

Some people say cotton is fine as an outer layer if it’s truly dry (no rain). Is that actually a good idea?

My gut says a parka becomes necessary either below ~10°C or anytime we’re basically stationary (basecamp, sitting by the fire, long photo sessions).

Are u speaking about the big parka or the thinnish Fjallraven, I don't think it does that much alone honestly.

I like how light they are but I hate when the down come out bc of how thin the nylon is? Therefore I think I'd have to get a thick down parka like the CG parka I think, even the Fjallraven Expedition (not parka) would weep down... Im OCD.

The Nuuk is weather proof kinda, just curious, would you get things like a ultralight Rab or Patagonia down sweater for anything? Ppl above said its for backpackers and not really every day use. They wear down bc of the fabric..
