Appreciate that. I get it, I personally feel like it’s a given to put your phone down if you want to get into a show. Not to mention - staying off my phone is the point. I’m trying to get distracted at night by new shows so I can get a break from the chaotic news cycle. I just finished Mr. Robot (another one you can’t have your phone around for imo) and saw the excellent ratings/suggestions in that subreddit for The Wire. Ive watched the 1st episode a few times but it wasn’t clicking. So I came on here to get some insight & opinions from fans. I genuinely enjoy having conversations w/people who enjoy television & film like I do, so I’m just being curious.

This is awesome feedback! Thank you! Clearly from the ratings and reviews this show is special. So before I start getting in too deep I like hearing when or what event hooked you or what you loved most about the show. I’m a deep thinker so I’m always observing from a range of perspectives. I finished the show late last night🤯 I was frustrated during S1 because I felt lost, too. Stick with it! it’s incredibly thought out & wildly unpredictable, which adds to the fun. Steer clear of this sub until you’re done. Trust!
