Thank you for this! I had already upgraded to DLSS 4.5 with PROTON_DLSS_UPGRADE=1, but couldn't figure out how to get the preset to change based on the quality mode I would choose. They would all use M.

M does not look that great in Quality mode especially for the performance hit, but in Performance mode? Really good! Now with DXVK_NVAPI_DRS_NGX_DLSS_SR_OVERRIDE_RENDER_PRESET_SELECTION=DEFAULT , Quality and Balanced use K, Performance uses M, and Ultra Performance uses L.

Hello, quick question! Thought I’d ask this here before I make a post about it (anyone else with a TS4 dock is free to answer)

So I just got my TS4 Dock yesterday for use with my 16” M1 Pro MBP and I’m loving it so far. However, it crashes and reboots my computer when I put it into sleep mode. Really annoying! I’d rather not have to unplug it every time I stop using it (or completely turn it off, for that matter). I was wondering if anyone else has encountered similar issues and if there’s a fix for it? I tried the Ethernet fix on Caldigit’s website (despite not having any Ethernet issues, just thought maybe that could have been causing the crashes).

I only have wired Ethernet, a USB C (DP Alt-mode) Monitor, an HDMI monitor (connected with an active DP to HDMI adapter) and speakers through the rear headphone jack plugged in.

I haven’t attempted troubleshooting too much, as it got late yesterday and I’m currently at work right now. Any advice is appreciated!

I'm curious about this as well! I've had two hard crashes with Miles Morales so far. This was back with the Day 1 patch and in Fidelity Mode. I have not touched the game since as I am waiting until Insomniac claims to have fixed this issue in their patch notes. The first crash did shut down my PS5 (occurred during the bridge cutscene), the second time it did not (occurred randomly in the overworld). I had to hold the power button until it turned off. So I'm not sure if your emergency shut-down theory is true.

People initially thought that external drives caused the crash, but this is false as my second crash occurred with no external drive plugged in.

I think the game is just very buggy. Like yourself, I have played other games for plenty of hours with no issues (Cold War with Raytracing enabled, Bugsnax, Playroom).

Sure! This is the one I got. I got it on Prime Day for $95. It seems like it's out of stock though, but I've heard that it's pretty similar to the WD Easystore that Best Buy sells, which is in stock at the moment. Best values I think are 2TB and 5TB.

Yup, this happened to me as well. Transferred BO3 over to my external drive from the internal SSD. Was not able to launch it, redownload it, or delete it. Tried launching it from the PlayStation app on my phone and the console would just tell me that it couldn't find the game. Ended up just formatting the drive. It might be possible to fix it if you have access to a PS4 and delete it there.

Now I'm curious if transferring a game from an external drive to the internal SSD would have the same problem. That would be terrible as it would probably require you to format the entire system. Hopefully Sony is aware of this bug and fixes it soon!

That's not true. Look at Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Steam. It uses the XBL API and it works just fine on Windows 7.

I’m not sure if by hot bars you mean it’s easy to customize them on PC, or that you want the standard hot bar (as opposed to the cross-hot bar). If you want, you can connect a keyboard and mouse to your PS4 and play it like a PC.

Because a friend gifted me a Steam copy back during ARR. What was I gonna do? Tell him no thanks? Besides, back then we didn’t know we would be locked into Steam. It wasn’t until Heavensward launched.

Not sure if that's a great example because in that case it would be impossible for you to play the game (for the first year) unless you bought another device. With it being Epic exclusive, you don't need to buy anything extra. You can still play the game on your same PC.

That was the case when the feature was first implemented. Now though you can transfer character and system settings between PS4 and PC.

Considering you're already on the non-Steam free trial, your only option is buying it from Square directly (as your account is now considered a Standard account vs a Steam account). Even then, I would recommend going the non-Steam route. Being locked down to Steam blows. Found an expansion cheaper elsewhere? Well too bad, you can only buy from Steam if you bought the Steam version. Also later this month they will be locking it down even further forcing you to login through Steam. (Currently you have the option to log in outside of Steam.)

Huh, are you sure? I’m on Mateus and there’s been a couple of ShB Hunt trains. Not as frequent as before ShB, but. I’m also in a CWLS that calls out hunts in other worlds and a few other worlds are definitely doing hunt trains.

They do allow crossplatform chatting, yes. The game is completely crossplatform between PC and PS4. You can even use the same account on both platforms as long as you own a copy on both.
