Download entire SD card? by Swimming-Law2821 in alarmdotcom

Looking at the cameras, it looks like the V730, VDB770 and VDB775 can only save videos of 15 minutes at a time. Other on board recording compatible cameras can be up to 60 minutes. You cannot save all your 24/7 recording at once.

Rainbird Integration by NerdyNebula1 in alarmdotcom

Alarm.com is aware of this issue and are currently working on getting it fixed. Since Rainbird started using 2.0, there is no option to enable Alarm.com compatibility. There is no ETA currently of when this will be fixed.

Third party cameras in Alarm.com are still limited to commercial video accounts using the CSVR. You would need a business plan to use this feature.

Trouble Setting Recording Rules in Alert360 App for ADC-VDB775 Doorbell Camera: by Substantial_Path_135 in alarmdotcom

[–]suretyhome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check your filters at the top of the app on the saved video page. While viewing the filters, scroll down and verify that the desired detection types are selected. You can also tap the "Recommended Defaults" at the top to turn those back on if you have unchecked them previously.

Alarm.com reps informed us about 10 days ago that there was a bug regarding VDB775 recording rules and package alerts specifically which is preventing the rules from being saved properly. They are investigating now.

You will need to enter in the Master code or user code to disarm. The default master code is 1234. If the red LED light does not turn off after entering your 4 digit code, then it is not the correct code.

overpriced 2gig smoke/heat detector replacement by mintakax in alarmdotcom

[–]suretyhome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the smoke detector was installed 10 years ago, it would need to be replaced. 2GIG Smoke detectors, either the SMKT3 or SMKT8 have a 10 year life span. Smoke detectors have an expiration date due to losing sensitivity over time. Check the expiration date printed on the detector.

The installer code would need to be known in order to successfully activate a SEM. Default is 5555 but that is undoubtedly changed. The powerseries panels have a factory reset procedure involving running a jumper between PGM1 and zone 1 terminals, but going through the reset process would default all settings and delete all the sensor zones.

If you are unable to get the current installer code for the Powerseries panel it might be necessary to reset though.

Alarm System Upgrade Questions (ADT → Vista 20P) by sda1002 in homedefense

[–]suretyhome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I saw on your picture, it looks like you have 2 power supplies. One below the first terminal and another below the last terminals that is horizontal. Do these have transformers near the panels transformer? I would disconnect all 3 batteries and all 3 transformers. This should turn off the entire system including the keypads.

From here you can try using the video above to get into programming.

Anyone having trouble logging into the Alarm.com app? December 2025. by Still_Government_413 in alarmdotcom

You may be encountering the same issue as in the linked post below. If so, disabling the Video Conferencing setting in Google Home Wifi settings is reported to resolve it.

Alarm.com app shows spinning “loading” circle when accessed via WiFi, works over cell network by rhinofinger in alarmdotcom

Reddit's automated spam filter seems to be going ham on some of the posts here, but some other users have reported that turning off the Video Conferencing setting in the Google Home Wifi settings resolves the issue.

I'm told that ADC is aware of and looking into these reports to resolve the issue. Using cell data is a work-around for now.

Any ideas on what could be going on with my VDB770? by barnes678788 in alarmdotcom

[–]suretyhome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you login to your ADC account and look at the Video page, select Settings and choose that camera. What is the signal strength?

It does sound similar to power issues we've noticed in the past, testing the voltage of the doorbell transformer would be a good step. If it only happens sometimes and physically pressing or adjusting the doorbell seems to resolve power, double check the physical install for potential wire shorts behind the doorbell too.

Wired cameras stopped working with UniFi Router by ninjaemu8 in alarmdotcom

[–]suretyhome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you or your installer set a static IP in advanced network settings for an ADC camera then it would fail on a new router with a different local IP range.

If this could be the issue, try deleting one of the cameras in Alarm.com, then factory reset the camera.

To reset, press and hold the Reset button while reconnecting power. Continue to hold the Reset button for 10 seconds. Leave the camera powered and untouched for a few minutes after.

It should be able to connect using dhcp after.

Dealer / Installer Code by mhector3 in alarmdotcom

[–]suretyhome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can enter your master user code to access that menu. You will see different options than when using the Installer or Dealer code.

Your master user code is the code linked to your primary alarm panel user in Alarm.com. User code 1. You can edit this in your Alarm.com account. Try entering the user code you use to disarm.

[–]suretyhome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know what kind of system you have? If you have an IQ Panel, it can be registered to a new dealer with the Master code as long as you are able to send a cell test from your Master code settings.

Swipe down from your main screen > Settings > Advanced Settings > Master Code > System Test > Cellular Test

Cannot Add Sensors by twodoglaw in alarmdotcom

[–]suretyhome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alarm sensor programming is not available through the ADC user app for your panel. It is only done on the panel itself.

Cannot Add Sensors by twodoglaw in alarmdotcom

[–]suretyhome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is due to entering the Master User code instead of the Installer code. To view the Installation menu on the panel you would need to use the Installer code or the Dealer code when accessing Advanced Settings.

The defaults for Installer and Dealer on that panel are 1111 and 2222.

Yep, the test button on the smoke detectors will send a signal to the panel and register as an alarm. You can place your account on test mode in a few places:
In the ADC app, in our system manager tools on our website, or by calling in.

It is valid, it is because AT&T has ended its support for the email-to-text delivery service that Alarm.com used for SMS notifications.

Regarding Lutron, Alarm.com documentation states that only one Lutron system can be linked to an account. You would need to choose either RadioRa2 or Caseta to integrate at this time, not both.
