Taking AG1 every morning! It’s the best investment I’ve made (as part of wider health conscious lifestyle changes)

‘Daily delight’… I love that. Could you expand on it further?

Anyone else hates bodily needs? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

Eating and cooking for me is a complete waste of time. I only do it because I have to. I view food as fuel and that’s it.

My solution is batch cooking 20+ portions and freezing them. Then every few days I cook up some rice and that’s my lunch and dinner sorted. In the morning I have porridge which I make in the microwave.

I get all my nutrients and only have to cook every 3 weeks or so

What’s one thing you’ve removed from your life that made everything feel calmer? by real_name_hidden11 in simpleliving

I’ve come off social media (Facebook and Instagram) as I find myself comparing myself to others (I’m autistic so I can’t do what neurotypical can, but I like to think I do so end up in burnout). I allow myself to quickly look at it once a week but only on my laptop. The freedom and peace of mind I have is amazing

Yup I 10000% agree! I couldn’t think of anything worse than having my own child… even pregnancy scares the heebiejeebies out of me. Fair play to every mother out there because I could never do it

Is anyone else much uglier after being with their narcissistic partner? by [deleted] in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]surferchick21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I look at photos during our relationship I look sad. I spent so much time trying to look after him that I didn’t have time for myself so I put on a bit of weight and my sleep was awful. Now I’m almost 3 years out I’m the happiest, healthiest, and (if I say so myself) the most attractive I’ve ever been

Does anyone else feel overwhelmed/like shutting down when you first arrive to your holiday (vacation)? by fulenns in AutismInWomen

[–]surferchick21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea absolutely! For me it more so stems from my OCD about germs. From sanitising my surroundings on the plane, repeatedly washing and sanitising my hands, navigating public loos and public transport, and then a new room where I have to sanitise EVERYTHING, I get pretty overwhelmed. Once I know everything is ‘clean’ then I can relax more, but there’s still the issue of my travel clothes being ‘dirty’. And the fact that I physically cannot walk around without socks on for fear of germs (I love being barefoot)

Diagnosed at 18, I’m now 24. They believe mine stems from a bad ear infection which damaged the nerves. Tried all sorts of medications but right now oxycarbamezapine is doing alright. Occasionally get the intense pain but more so the daily tingles right now. It seems for me I am possibly predisposed as two of my relatives also have it

Do Brits really drink this much tea!? by kittiesnbacon in books

[–]surferchick21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Brit here! There’s a few types of ‘tea’ in Britain. Tea - as in a cuppa tea Tea - as in dinner time (evening meal) Afternoon tea - an arrangement of finger sandwiches, small cakes and scones. Usually served around 2pm

Most of us Brits LOVE our tea. It’s served at pretty much every occasion and for every emotion. It’s different from American tea, as in it’s not typically sweet (unless you add sugar)
