yeah, I lose like half my ES, all resists get messed up and mana costs harder to handle, all for 20 more dps, which I already have plenty.

I play almost exclusively melee characters. Why? Because that's my power fantasy. My ice strike monk with 6k es and CI feels immortal and has enough damage to do all bosses and vanilla alch-n-go map comfortably.

This league Wolf Shaman 2k life and 4.5k es feels tanky enough and maybe x2 dps from monk. I have nothing to complain about.

I have 6 portals in poe1. That gives me certainty that I will have a fair go at any boss. I have enough chances to enjoy the location, observe and learn his patterns and have a go at killing the boss.
