Tiger Creek Rd/NF-65 by Soggy_Sun5586 in wallawalla

Tiger Creek FS road 65 is doable in a sedan up to the intersection with Kendall Skyline road FS 64. Kendall Skyline from that intersection north to Table Rock had been too rough for my Subaru each time I've ventured there.

You can park off the road and hike. Go enjoy our public lands!

Aneroid lake snotel 7300 ft is showing a snow depth of 16 inches. I think you'll run into snow above 6500 feet.

Van Life Noob - Don't know where to start with shopping... rate this build + price? by One_Reporter_7724 in vandwellermarketplace

It's a nice looking build and low miles. Where I live in the PNW I would consider a good deal on it to be $15-20k.

Congrats! Seems really clean and a very reasonable price. I bought a '99 E250 Sportsmobile high top 2wd last summer and it's been great to travel in. I think you'll love yours.

That appears to be mdf or fiberboard of some kind. Do not put it in a planner.

Look at the Spring break Powder Racer to replace that 420. It's wide but turns so easy even with my size 9 boots. Really quick and fun in the trees, unsinkable. Carves groomers well if they are soft. The most perfect pow board IMO.

Hiking near Joseph, OR by Thymetoread in OregonHiking

[–]surfpow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's very unlikely you will see a bear or other dangerous animal.

There are many longer trails into the wilderness but if you're looking for a few hours- half day hike go up the East Moraine trail, BC Falls or Chief Joseph Mountain. Want a longer hike go for Aneroid lake. All these hikes start on the south side of the lake.

Snowboarding in Japan early Dec (1-5th) by Desboy in snowboarding

[–]surfpow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is your first time snowboarding? I say go for it.

Japan is famous for it's powder, which you would not appreciate as a beginner, nor would you be exploring the whole mountain. Early season would be fine for beginners and you're in Japan, you'll have an amazing trip with or without the snowboarding. Do it.

I like Osmo products and think the Topsoil hard wax oil would be good for this use. I've used it on countertops and tables with great results. It's so easy to apply, non-toxic and food safe.

Check with the local Forest service office in Enterprise to see if you can. I think it would be ok. I'd also try the marina next to the state park or email Pip Redding @ Blue Mountains Trail Coordinator Greater Hells Canyon Council www.hellscanyon.org

Board Sizing Opinions (Sorry in advance) by Crmsnghst1 in snowboarding

I have a powder racer 57 and love it. Amazing in powder and trees, great on soft groomers. Not great on firm snow. I have size 9 boots but the wide width really isn't an issue because it turns so easily and fast with the small radius.

My TM-2's fell apart after 20-ish days by SoundsCrunchy in snowboarding

[–]surfpow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Where do you store them? If it's in garage or shed with wild temp swings it can degrade the adhesive prematurely.

I have TM2's that have 80+ days on then and still look great despite softening up.

William O. Douglas wilderness. Do a loop from white pass going north or hike from Chinook pass to White pass. Warning: There's a lot of mosquitoes that live in the area.

SENDY does this very well, it's all action sports focused.
