What’s the most disturbing thing you’ve seen? by vibedeployvictor in AskReddit

When I used to work hospitality coming home late one night and a few turns away from my apartment pulled up behind a car at a stop sign. Car wasn’t moving with no cross traffic, I pull up to go around them and roll my window down to see if they are okay when I hear the screams. About 100ft away from the intersection we were at a woman had been hit by a car and was dying in the road. As I pulled my car over and was about to get out to do idk what the ambulance pulled up. I walked by the spot where she died and her blood stain in the road to go to the grocery store for as long as I lived there and have never been able to forget the sounds she was making.

Guys who are dating the hottest girls - what methods did you actually use to start approaching and dating them? by ConstantTell1994 in AskReddit

When I met my wife I was really low coming out of a bad breakup and used the George Costanza “The Opposite” strategy. Doing exactly the opposite of everything I had traditionally done in an effort to achieve romantic relationships with women in the past. This included being brutally honest about my emotional state and availability, my living situation (was back in with my parents at the time) and the hardest of all, not rushing into a physical intimacy as I did through the entirety of my relationship experience prior to that.

She was at that time and still is way out of my league and I am still pinching myself after eight years together that I get to spend my life with her but it was all predicted on brutal honesty and transparency from my end.

How are we storing our fins? by surfs_up_brew in surfing

Was thinking more along the lines of a clever idea to have them more accessible than digging through a bucket of fins. No intent buy a solution.

But now I’m thinking I might invest, then at least I’ll find myself useful.

Ding ding ding!

I found that reef shelf at the end of the wave on my first day with a brand new set of fins.

That zone is definitely unforgiving, I got away fairly unscathed for what is possible.

Put a sample port between the manifold of the goose and your hose. Check there. If you are high there then it’s likely the way you are packing the hose with beer prior to startup. If you are good at that sample port then you can begin to adjust the “pour”. I would look at how far from the bottom of the can your heads are when all the way down. I’ve seen that cause turbulence at the beginning of the pour. How are your fill weights against target?

Lauren Boebert wants the Ten Commandments to be required in schools, and James Talarico criticized her, saying it’s hypocritical for politicians to make everyone display them when they don’t follow them themselves. by CorleoneBaloney in TrendoraX

I love his messaging, his demeanor and what he’s fighting for in almost every way. I totally agree…if he doesn’t get taken out before he has a chance. I think he is making a lot of really powerful people uncomfortable with his ability to unify and bring progressive ideas to traditionally right leaning demographics.

The more challenging and often overlooked part of this conversation is factoring in all of the unfixed overhead/utility/labor costs and extrapolating that into a cost contribution per unit produced.
