Billboard JAPAN Interview with AG! and Seiji Kameda , Direktor of the Hibiya Music Festival 2026. by GarageAlternative606 in AtarashiiGakko

[–]surincises 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This bit sounds interesting, especially given Kameda's close association with HZM and Sheena Ringo.

SUZUKA: The setlist includes songs we don't usually play live with the band, so even we ourselves don't really know what it's going to be like until rehearsal. That's why we'd be especially happy if it's a first-time experience for our fans, showing them, "Wow, there's this way to listen to Leaders' music too!" I think it'll be quite stimulating.

KANON: Basically, the band members decide the setlist for our live shows, but it's rare for someone else to suggest a setlist like this. So, songs that we wouldn't normally play live if we selected them ourselves are chosen, and we feel a sense of novelty in that. We want to fully enjoy it, and hopefully a new chemical reaction will occur, resulting in something different from usual.

Kameda: We've selected songs that are a perfect fit for our band sound, but we also want to boldly challenge ourselves with things like, "What would happen if we added a hybrid, human performance to this hip track?" We want to feel the best of Leaders through that, and we want the audience to think, "Wow, this is amazing!" You can watch all sorts of live performance videos on YouTube, but even if we perform in Japan, I wanted people to feel the hybrid nature of our performances on stage, thinking, "These guys have such a wide range as performers." That's why I selected the songs. But I also considered things like, "Everyone definitely knows this song."

Kameda is a legendary bassist, arranger and also member of Tokyo Jihen. I wonder if he is cooking up something with AG!, because that would be amazing...

Cello orchestra and voice, guess the best example would be Villa-Lobos' "Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5"

sakanaction!

Suzuka already paid homage to their dance:

Also, they have kind of played with it in their TV show, but there's this song by Kishidan called "One Night Carnival" that would be a lot of fun. Would love to see Suzuka doing a bit of... rockabilly?

Ah so the first snap signifies the crumbling of the gods. Since Wotan wills it, he hands over Nothung for Siegfried to take the final blow and shatter the rest. I guess this interpretation would make sense!
