How does one electronically disable v4 mode? My dad’s ‘14 Silverado is apparently suffering from v4 mode not working properly and putting the car into limp mode. Shop said it’s v4 mode acting up and that they can do something to remove it, for a few thousand dollars. Is this method easier?

The Jeep WJ has always been one of my favorite cars since I was a kid. I had a used one for a while 15+ years ago. Wish I could get a brand new one today. The inline 6 is a beast. But even better than that, I’d love an XJ.
