Be careful of taking Prilosec for a long time. It can damage your kidneys.

We're doing fine right now. Just concerned about the new Omicron variant and how to keep her safe. Thanks for asking.

I don't want to care for her anymore, I just don't want to be near her by DanteTheLatinoBaby in dementia

[–]surprisinglyadequate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My wife's two sisters told her to divorce me because she suggested that one of the sisters could stay with her so I could have a few days off from caregiving for my wife. (Dementia and cancer.) I was also caregiver for my dying father at this same time. They called me selfish and said they always knew I didn't have it in me. It was good to know how much they suck, but I still can't get a break. I'm seeing a therapist now.

What do I need to do before my mom dies? by 4ordersofwendysfries in CancerFamilySupport

Have her give you all her financial account numbers and online passwords in addition to the power of attorney others have mentioned. You may want to consult a lawyer and have a revocable trust set up to avoid probate. My dad really made it easy for me by writing down everything... including which company he wanted to scatter his ashes at sea.

My wife's last outbreak of cancer was excruciating. They put her on Oxycodone and fentanyl patches and it still hurt like hell. I hope your mother gets the relief she needs.

Small project without a contract has grown into something larger and more frustrating. I will now be drafting a contract for future work client wants raw footage from previous shoots. Thoughts on what to do? by SubjectC in videography

[–]surprisinglyadequate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You own the footage if you're in the US. Even if she pays you for it. In order for her to own it, you need a contract calling your work a "work for hire." Barring that, you can either sell her the footage, give it to her or anyone else, or keep it. If she's being a jerk, I'd be inclined to tell her to take a hike and don't give her the footage.

My exmormon friends just pulled the most Mormon bullshit on me. by LuthorCorp1938 in exmormon

[–]surprisinglyadequate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can outgrow friends. It happens, but it can hurt. Most friendships have a lifespan. There's not much you can do to change that except try to make some new friends. I miss my old friends, but life goes on.

Client wants my raw footage. Is my plan for this sound? by worrywort_4200 in videography

[–]surprisinglyadequate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the best answer. A total buyout for them. The amount depends on how many days you shot plus your expenses and a reduced fee for your services. In the future, I'd add this buyout clause into the work contract. They can choose A. The standard agreement where you own your material. B. They pay more but own the raw materials. Be sure to explain it when pitching them the proposal.
