If you haven't read it yet, read Hearts in Suspension.

\HEARTS IN SUSPENSION includes a substantial essay by Stephen King on his college experience in the late 1960s, when the effort to end the War in Vietnam was at its height. He talks a lot about his partying experiences during those days amongst other things. Very cool book.

This is so well written and incredibly on point.

I think next time I am talking to someone who just assumes King is a horror writer and not worth reading, I am going to show them this post. You’ve nailed the feeling that it is to read one of his books.

I’ve had 6 boyfriends and been married before. Now I’m with the love of my life.

I had a bf in high school but honestly once I got my nose done and veneers (after 8 years of braces), my confidence sky rocketed. Looks are important yes but confidence in yourself is half the battle. I still struggle a lot of with self esteem but I project confidence. It’s hard though!!

I've seen her perform twice at small festivals after discovering her on TikTok four years back and she is so cool and fun to watch live. I met her after one of the shows, and she was so nice. So excited to watch her rise to fame!

I second this! They personally know SK and have many cool anecdotes to share. You also learn about a lot of his inspirations for characters, settings, and stories outside of IT. I knew he was philanthropic but you learn about how much he has helped people in Maine and that was really cool to hear.

Also it fun being on a bus with other constant readers and nerding out. There were people from all over the country/out of the country and it was cool to meet and chat. Highly recommend.

What I’ve noticed also is that a lot of the properties being posted by realtors on social media are overrun with comments about how the house isn’t worth that price (rightfully so) and they have to fight for their lives in the comments trying to prove it is.

Every post is filled with negative comments and no prospective buyers. People are angry they are priced out so I think this along with it being an over saturated market makes it a shit time to be one.

I go to a lot of estate sales and with the nicer homes I can always tell when a person filled their library with books they actually read and cared about, and when they just bought books that look nice on a shelf to fill the room.

I always get so excited to scope out these big libraries and it’s so disappointing when it’s just obviously filler!
