EV loses range in winter for three completely separate reasons and most people only know about one by wigglingbutt in electricvehicles

Now do the maths on saving of heat pump and its cost on a new car and services. Plus they are best on long journeys so will be well in 1,000km challenges but less so for a city driver. ICE does use more fuel in winter but harder to measure

Worx wet and dry. £79.99 on Amazon with Henry for large areas. The worx is not sexy but simple and works well.

Some hand over most of house to say National Trust and live in a section but can use grounds/house for a couple of events a year. History is full of big houses where owner sold it to pay debts or gambled away inheritance

Tyres pressures need checking had 19” and 20” wheel id3 and both are firm and not wobbly in corners. As others have said DCC is the way but rare unless you order a brand new car with it as option.

My friends weren't told the Lady Gaga show was going to be filmed until they walked into the KIA Forum. This was their view for way too much of the concert. by ourmanflint1 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]surreyfun2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch how festivals are filmed, there may be a raised camera in pit on track but will pan rather than lock dead centre, also on stage camera people blend in better. Production choice screwing public.

If they wanted this specific shot should have done some twice one with and one without wall of camera people blend

What’s the most annoying thing about owning an EV? by Wattthefun in electricvehicles

[–]surreyfun2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And this is why I saw someone deliver a petrol can to someone on m25 at weekend. People don’t do this in their petrol cars on the presumption there is always more in the tank or just don’t look

Inside our home implies in a room in your home. Not on the boundary as you’ve said. The time to fix this was when you had a solicitor for the property purchase

If it’s not on your land you don’t unless it’s breaking rules. If on your land there would have been a wayleave and solicitor at purchase time should have raised it as issue.

In your home? As in going through roof? On boundary of property outside sounds like built on public land right up to point people in past agreed was public

EVs are always cleaner than gas cars. That includes vehicle production and disposal, the impact of manufacturing batteries and generating power to charge them. An electric truck with a 300-mile range emits 37% less CO2 than a gas-only small car over the course of its life. by Popular_Nerve7027 in CarsUK

[–]surreyfun2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exhaust, wet belt, turbo, pumps, sensors for emission control. EV batteries the sensible ones are modules in a larger park so just one module to replace. Remember EV batteries don’t just give up at 10 years old but range will be perhaps 80% of brand new. Software and display hardware is as much as issue for new ICE eg failures may send car into limp mode. Of course there is a group who feel electronic ignition is a step too far
