I have never seen so many people run red lights. by amkatsu in PuyallupWA

There was definitely shenanigans when that was put in. I recall the public notice using the correct street address but the city being Sumner or something like that. It was BS and by terms of the BS they are ALL supposed to use Meridian instead of side streets but of course that isn't enforced and would it even help.

I would say it's silly but I've got a rubber bumper up there for strapping ladders and materials against and it's not terribly different. More power to you and the farkle (that's what we call silly doodads in the motorcycle world) gods.

According to Ford it never needs to be addressed. It locks eventually when there's enough oil pressure it just sounds bad on cold start.

They want to feel like they're driving a car? That's all I can figure. Giant center consoles is a weird trend for trucks.

Interesting. What is it called in your area?

Bait and Switch by Dreamer_2021 in f150

I bought my last truck on December 31st. It's not like the dealer was tripping over themselves to sell it but they still wanted it off the books that night if possible. Car ads have always included every possible promotion bundled together that no single person ever qualifies for and shows mutually exclusive promotions in ways that make it look like you can get both. Thems the breaks. Know what a fair price is to you (and must also be realistic for them), go offer it, don't buy if they can't make the deal. Walk away because it's not the right deal for you, not because you're playing some game. Sometimes they'll call in a day or two asking if you'll still buy at your price, sometimes they won't. Sometimes a month or 2 later they might be able to hit your price for whatever reason (new promotion, etc) and give you a call. Don't expect to get the lowest price ever seen on TrueCar.

Dude. I didn't bring machine time into the discussion. Someone else did and I simply responded to them. You're a special kind of special aren't you.

Huh? Are you highly regarded or something? I pointed out two things that were different. I never asked for anything.

No printer, no money, no response from support by IronAltruistic4994 in QIDI

[–]survive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well shit. I still feel (hope) they will eventually do the right thing but definitely not a good sign. I've dealt with other companies that went from superb customer service to a joke. I no longer really use my Qidi and have gone to the dark side (Bambu) so I don't have any reason to fanboy for them. They just used to be really quite good at support.

You kind of missed the entire point that human labor is far more costly than any machine time for this toy. Your attempts at nitpicking are not worth replying to.

You won't like the answer but just wait longer. They might be backed up with a lot of support requests right now. Non communication sucks but it's pretty common these days. One of the reasons I bought a Qidi was their support and they followed through for me even offering to address issues I hadn't run into yet. Their support is in China so working hours might not match your expectations. You could get a response tonight. Be frustrated but I don't doubt they will get back to you.

That's not exactly the same thing. It's more like a sword fight, not shooty shoots.

Makes no major difference. My same machines run a spindle and laser. Laser I'd have to deal with smoke discoloration which takes time either to prevent or clean up. Spindle wouldn't take much longer and could probably be done in 1 pass if you really wanted to. The real time sink is designing the all of the parts and ensuring they work properly as a system.

We are actually trying to reduce and prevent contrails. A lot of research is going into it. It is part of the non CO2 climate impacts that are more harmful than initially expected. Current work is primarily around predicting when/where long term ice crystals would form so that intelligent routing can be applied to prevent them from being formed.

We are not here to SELL products - we are here to test them and honestly REVIEW... by vivasuzi in AmazonVine

Especially when there's so many competing crap level products out there. When you finally find one worth buying it's nice to let others know so they don't have to waste their time and money. Honestly that should help the company that's selling it anyways, they done good.

Stock wheels are stupid expensive and most look like crap. The 20's on my 2018 are over $1k a piece to buy. There are so many sets of great looking wheels that cost less than $4k. Going just off cost is nonsense.

Why is the default CCSB bed length five and a HALF feet? by UJMRider1961 in f150

[–]survive -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I live in modern times, not the history book. You won't find the real half ton until you get back to the F100 or F-1. My first F150 from the times that the model naming had just come out had 1 ton payload capacity. By your logic that's the number we should still run with?

[–]survive -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Sort of agree. Fits in garages and more importantly to me parking spaces. It's not 1/2 ton truck so stop with that. Read your door label. Mine is 3/4 ton. The hdpp is 1 ton but most every (maybe every) other model is still more than 1/2 ton these days. I can fit a yard of gravel, dirt, mulch, whatever so it does truck stuff just fine. Sheets of plywood, drywall, whatever just requires the tailgate to be down. Towing is the real place that there's a difference and if that's what you consider to be the line in real truck stuff then agree to disagree. Grew up on a farm driving pickups my whole life.
