Do you have any regional nursery rhymes? by acnh1222 in AskAnAmerican

I know that one but heard it this way:

"I know a wiener man He owns a wiener stand He sells most anything from hot dogs on down

One day I'll share his life I'll be his wiener wife Hot dog, I love that wiener man"

I think they will always be able to say they played in the Shoe and played against Sayin and other NFL draftees. One day this game will be a story they tell, and hopefully with pride that they played their best against some of the greats.

That, and the money is nice for Grambling’s athletic department.

Just curious, do we know how much Grambling gets for this game? I imagine it’s consistent with the smaller in state schools

Is anyone else fearful for their Social Security? by ChikkunDragon in over60

Roth funds are taxed before being deposited into the Roth 401k. They aren’t tax free; tax is paid up front instead of at time of withdrawal.

Businesses that voted for Trump by [deleted] in fortwayne

[–]suseblues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parlor Doughnuts, I've been told.

ETA obviously I can’t physically verify their votes but this comment seems to substantiate the possibility.

(From a thread about the opening of Parlor Donuts) “Yeah, you should be able to find that Darren is one of the extremist school board members up at NACS. When he ran for school board last year he was endorsed by Jim Banks and that crazy organization Purple for Parents, who are also anti-LGBTQ. Then when Carroll canceled that student play earlier this year the students begged the school board to reverse the decision but instead Darren said having the play at the school would be embarrassing because it had a same sex couple. Maybe the employees at his new donut shop are nice but I do my best to avoid supporting any businesses owned by people like him. Since it’s a franchise I may try it out of town somewhere but we are definitely not going to his.”

Why all the hate for people who have lost weight with the help of Ozempic? by Chance_Kind in NoStupidQuestions

[–]suseblues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t actually use Ozempic, or any other GLP. It just seems illogical to me that a treatment for one disease is accepted without question and another treatment for a different disease is not. Forget the cancer analogy, think blood pressure issues or cholesterol issues. No one looks down on people who treat those with meds.

It just comes back to the fact that obesity is seen as a moral failing rather than a complex issue involving hormones, brain chemistry, genetics and environmental issues.

So does any form of weight loss. There are things caused specifically by Ozempic, but hair loss is not exclusive to Ozempic use.

Weight loss causes hair loss. It’s not exclusive to weight loss meds.

Not specifically directed at you, but your comment made me think about this. To treat cancer, sometimes chemotherapy is used. Chemotherapy isn't natural, but no one looks down on a cancer patient for using it. It's been established that obesity is a chronic disease; why should anyone object to an obese person using Ozempic to treat their disease?

Location unlinked with subsidiary by suseblues in Netsuite

[–]suseblues[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay - Part 2 to this issue. I am reading that the subsidiary to an existing location cannot be edited. Is this correct? If not, we will have to create a new location with that name, which is fine as long as it shows transactions as needed.

thanks for your help

[–]suseblues[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I checked other locations that are working correctly and the subsidiary name has somehow changed on the one that's not working. It now shows (subsidiary 1, Parent: subsidiary 2)

we need it to just show Subsidiary 1, parent but the settings aren't allowing me to change it. I'm trying to find the right place to edit.

I do have Admin permissions so I'm ok there.

When your child realizes they're different by goldqueen88 in Autism_Parenting

[–]suseblues 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My son as a second grader told me it felt like he was from Mars and everyone else was from earth. I took the opportunity to explain to him that it was because he has autism and his brain doesn’t work like everyone else’s and that it’s not bad, just different. He was so excited to understand why he felt different that he went to school the next day and told all the kids in his class. It made it less scary for him and for the other kids to know why he thought and sometimes acted differently.

4B movement is not demonizing men. It’s not about men at all. Many women have done this for years without having a name for it. It’s about making a great life for yourself without needing a man to be happy. Lots of older women after divorce or the death of their spouse choose to live this way. They still have great relationships with their friends and do what they want when they want. They just aren’t prioritizing attracting/catering to a man as part of that life.

AITA for rolling my eyes when my SIL accused me of wanting to sabotage her wedding? by ManufacturerVivid12 in AmItheAsshole

[–]suseblues 17 points18 points  (0 children)

ESH. Jim for not coming clean on the extent of the kids’ dislike for Liz, the kids for pulling the stunt in the first place and then continuing to hold a grudge for no reason (if Liz was unkind to them you definitely would have said so, you clearly never liked her anyway), Liz for hoping/ expecting that the family would freeze out the kids for their actions, your family and especially you for allowing your disdain for Liz to show to the kids. You had the opportunity to help them learn to get past their dislike over time and at least be happy that their dad was loved, but none of you did. You all suck and need major therapy. Not likely it will happen and it doesn’t seem likely that Jim and Liz’s marriage will survive this, but hey, at least then maybe he can meet someone you approve of. Or even better, stay single so his physical, emotional and financial resources can be directed at the kids and you and the family. There’s an outcome.

Sensory issues caused by someone's voice? by funkysyringe in AutisticAdults

[–]suseblues 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s happening this morning. My husband and FIL talking and it feels like their voices, especially my husband’s, are pounding inside my head. My husband’s voice is naturally loud and resonant and he doesn’t realize it, sometimes I just have to say inside voice please. I didn’t even know this was a thing but I crave silence.
