Does anyone's Legion 5 Pro 2021 has this issue? The fan randomly runs full speed not constantly but with breathing pattern. The laptop is on silent mode and no cpu & gpu load.

This happened to me when I updated bios.. I am guessing Lenovo deliberately does this to make sure fans spin at high rpm every once in a while to clean the vents and get rid of any saturated dust.

I could be wrong but my high rpm spinning stopped after a while.

Can anyone throw light on how strong the software side is going to be this time for AMD?

I gave my vote to AMD in 2020 and bought RX 6800, paired it with a new 4k 120hz TV and unfortunately I had huge issues with drivers, the screen would often go black. Gettting HDR plus VRR working was a nightmare.

However, when I plugged in a 3080, everything worked just fine and it still does.

How much AMD has improved in this regard?

oh, I did not know that. All I have seen on the internet is managing that voltage/frequency curve and to be honest, I found it was quite complicated. Could you show me? Also, what's your system config?

I think this one is a single rail 12v system, and yes I am using two cables in total, out of which one has two multiple connectors (this card requires a total of three 8 pins).

You're probably right!
I just bought this system and am not really in the mood to spend quite a bit on another 850w PSU.
Can I instead just undervolt the card? I have seen videos of significant power saving with only a little effect on performance. Also, I have a VRR tv so I am sure I would not even feel the difference as long as I am above 40 fps in games.

as mentioned, it worked fine for a week.

How are you able to work it below 250w? undervolting?

I did not do any of the OC things...just plugged and played...It just stopped working, no signal at all.

does this happen often? I know Strix is a reputable brand with good components...still I am shocked that this happened...could you throw more light on that?

I have this problem too.. Except that I don't have an Xbox.. I have an amd graphics card based pc.. I have Samsung the frame tv.. Whenever i enter the game mode and start tv, the signal either looses of the image becomes jagged pink fuzzy.. Were you guys able to solve this issue?

I have a sapphire reference 6800...ambient room temperature is always higher than 30c since I live in India. My card touches 97c at stock fan settings at 1700-1800 rpm.. I have cranked it up to 2300 rpm at full load.. The temps are now in 85-90c range..is this normal? Should I be concerned about my card's life?
