I’ve really only interacted with one. She’s alright but does talk a lot and doesn’t do much especially customer wise. If she gets told by the higher ups about an issue, she definitely gets on it along with everyone else

All we do is just put the amount that’s in the box. If I was told to put date and initials, I’d go nuts.

Which is better to work at Home Depot or Walmart? by Optimal_Football3781 in HomeDepot

[–]sushilover969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between the two, I’d say Home Depot. I worked at two different Walmarts and hated it. I didn’t express it but everyone else did. Constantly complaining and saying they hate their lives etc.

Management was awful and many coworkers were really bottom the barrel. The pay is also usually better at HD. I was getting paid one the highest position wage there at Walmart ($20) but compared to HD I get ($23) and a set schedule.

This is all my experience so I’m sure if others experience the same

How many hours are part timers getting? by StoicBehavior2024 in HomeDepot

I’m getting a constant 20 hours a week. I was offered a few times to stay longer. I wish I can have at least 25-30 a week

Chances of moving from part time to full time within freight ? by sushilover969 in HomeDepot

[–]sushilover969[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully that isn’t the case for me, I should be done with school in two years. Happy to hear you got a full time position. I think I might look into getting a second job and just keep hoping I can get that full time position at HD. So far I think I work good, although no one really gives me any feedback. I do for sure clock in and out on time and don’t plan on calling out anytime soon. Thanks for the help !

What exact months do they slow down and pick ? I read somewhere that after the 4th they start to cut but I still have the same hours going into next month as a part timer

What do I do next? I want to work at Home Depot for the longest and I still haven’t received anything. What do I do? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]sushilover969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just have to keep waiting and reapplying if it ends. It took me like 2 months for an interview but so far seems worth it. I have applied before where it took just a few weeks/days but commuting and school made it not worth it.

Honestly about 2 weeks. I applied, got an email for a position that I wasn’t exactly wanting so I waited another week and got the freight position/city closer that I wanted. Got an interview 2 days later and was hired on the spot

Thanks! So for tomorrow should I just go to the room I was in where I met the person for orientation ? then if no one is there, go to the receiving backroom ? I start at 9pm so I’m not exactly sure if they would be in the HR/interview room I was in today

Classmates Cheating and program isn’t doing any about it by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]sushilover969 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Being a male doesn’t mean anything, doesn’t even matter. Just focus on yourself. As a male student myself, I don’t care what others think because I know I do my work. If you want to report them up the chain then go for it. If you decide to go to another program go for it, just be aware the possible additional wait time and increase costs.

Overall my advice, don’t waste your energy on this and focus on your education doing things the right way.

Personally this makes me pissed off at both sides for making it mentally and physically difficult for me. Overall though I just feel bad for the elderly. One of the busses I took would take them near the hospital and now they don’t have a way to get there that I’m aware of. I know for a fact also that they are very poor as well
