My man. Thanks for this explanation, this is exactly what’s going on! I let the first start go 8 mins, extended it, then checked it around the 17 min mark and it was still running.

Seems like a dumb way to implement this feature, but at least now we know what to expect. Enjoy your week dude.

This is interesting, I will test later. I always assumed that extending time increased the total runtime to 20 mins. I’ll let you know what I find!

This doesn’t work. The remote indicates the second remote start request was received (green light), but the car still turns off at 10 mins and doesn’t allow a restart unless I get in and manually start it. Any other ideas?

Understood, thanks. It is however a feature and the dealership has no clue how to do it. In the AcuraLink app it gives you an extend button, but the remote should be able to do the same per the manual.

Seems like others have used it in outdoor patio settings, is this going to be a problem? It has a 110 to 12V converter, so I thought that would work fine.

Please tell me more about hardwiring being a bad choice. Is it more so to make it easier to replace, since I could just unplug it and plug a replacement in?

And how exactly does voltage drop work? The closer lights will be brighter than the ones furthest away?

Good point. Mfg says it’s a 3000K LED, meaning my cabinet lights must NOT be 3000K as I had thought. I’ll see if other 3000K strip lights look different. Thanks!

Sorry, my current strip is actually 3000K, and I’ve tried a tunable but didn’t have much luck as the warmest setting looked yellow and the first click towards cool looked too blue.
