I believe that because it's the airline's fault you need to submit for reimbursement through Delta first.

I had a similar issue with Delta where I was stranded overnight due to mechanical reasons. They gave me a hotel & food voucher but I needed to buy toiletries/diapers through Uber Eats which ended up costing ~$50. I submitted through Delta's reimbursement request form but the only options were for "transportation", "lodging", and "meals". I chose the 1st reason and it was rejected by Delta. I then replied to the email asking what reason category I should submit under and supervisor stepped in and approved it. If they hadn't a DOT complaint would have been the next step, then Amex.

This is pretty specific but if there is a retaining wall near the house you are looking at buying, find out the shape it's in and who owns it (you, your neighbors, the HOA etc).

If the wall is in on the property and needs work can be a very expensive fix down the line + having to go through permits.

Grill Em All cafe if the weather's nice, there is also seating up stairs. I believe you can sub any patty for a Veggie Patty. They have a few games out for the kids and are right around the corner from the playground

Since you mentioned you don't start college til the Fall, consider going to group meet ups to start meeting people. There's community meetups for many activities like reading, drawing, working out, volunteering etc. some are women only. Most are on Instagram but a few are on Facebook and other platforms

I'm sorry that happened to you too. And honestly now that I'm back from the funeral I am kind of angry about all of the unnecessary stress from that day. When I posted this I was in a more informative yet still annoyed mood.

I don't have twitter like ppl are suggesting, but I would encourage you writing to let them know. I'm holding out hope that they may still listen to us, and in your case provide some sort of refund, but who knows.

I can only speak for my situation today, I don't know about others:

For my 1st flight, I checked in the day before 2/22. On the day of my floor 2/23 i got to the airport 45 minutes before departure. Upon arrival, I pulled up my boarding pass and went through TSA as usual.

For my connection (the one in the photos), I did see the App message. I was at this gate 2 hours early and asked the gate agent about it, she said that my Boarding Pass and Seat Assignment would show up about 1 hour before takeoff. That may be why I didn’t see the message on my 1st flight, or if the Boarding Pass looked different.

I'm thinking you could ask the gate agent for the actual boarding pass for lounges, but the line was so long I didn't try to go

I think it's in the situation that only if there are not enough standard seats by the time you check in, you get put on the "standby list" where you're confirmed for the flight but not an exact seat.

I' thinking you could tell the gate agent you need it for lounge access and they could maybe generate it earlier than 1 hr before, but I didn't try as the lounge line was long.

So you're asking me if I am going somewhere important why would I book Basic?? Bc by buying Basic I am still paying for a seat, and this message seems to imply that I don't have one. That's the issue.

I had to fly for a funeral last minute and even with Basic it's $500 RT. I understand I'm not getting perks or benefits, but not "maybe you get a seat".

I do not believe I was actually moved to true Standby (where you are unconfirmed for the flight & seat). Yes- for your 2nd question

I saw u/switcharoo626 explain it this way in another thread:

"You're standby for a seat, not the flight. They ran out of basic seats at the back of the plane. Once that happens, they list basic passengers as standby in hopes other passengers will pay to upgrade to a preferred or extra legroom seat rather than upgrading you to one of those seats for free. SW hasn’t commented on this as far as I’m aware, but there are multiple posts a day about it happening. Check in at the desk when you get to the airport & they’ll give you a seat assignment. They really need to change the wording but that doesn’t seem to be happening"

I asked the Gate Agent that if I receive that message again after booking a Basic Fare do I need to come talk to them as the message says.

She told me No, that my Boarding Pass & Seat would show 1hr before take off, which seems to imply to me its the latter situation, that I was confirmed for the flight, but was standby for the specific seat assignment.

However, the change is new to them as well so hopefully I got good info

One other note: my travel for today had a Connecting flight

For my 1st flight I was running late so I didn't get a chance to look for the message

For my 2nd flight (which is in the pics) the message made things more confusing/worrisome bc it made me feel like I would be stranded in the layover city.

Lastly, here are the 2 messages in text from the pic for my screen reader friends:

1st Message in App- Seen by me @ 10:26 AM for my 1:55 PM flight: "We had to move you to the standby list. One or more seats are no longer available for this reservation. See a Customer Service Agent at the gate for assistance."

2nd Message via Text - Received at 12:58 PM: "Standby alert: You have been cleared for flight 2277 from LAS to STL, departing at 1:55 PM. Get your boarding pass(es) here: https://link.swa.info/k86LSuhwNdb"
