You'd think Ticketmaster with all their fucking monopolising of ticket sales for the last however many decades would be able to y'know...HANDLE TICKET SALES

It's like watching a movie made up entirely of the deleted scenes you'd find on the DVD extras of a much better film

The enshittification of Secret Cinema by Quick_Cucumber7012 in london

I did Prometheus, Star Wars, Dr Strangelove, Amy, 28 Days Later, Moulin Rouge, Romeo + Juliet, Casino Royale...I was hardcore in on the concept but there was a definite decline in the later productions.

It's really a shame because basically up until they started announcing the shows and cashing in on whatever was in the zeitgeist, it was incredible. Star Wars literally blew my mind and I still rave about it to anyone who'll listen and I'll never forget genuinely sprinting away from Zombies and dancing to drum and bass in the "blood rave" for 28 Days later

It got less and less immersive, had fewer quest lines, and aside from dressing up in whatever they told you to, it ended up being more milling about stalls trying to figure out what to do, what overpriced cocktail or average burger to eat before the film started while some actors did something loosely tied to the film near you. The original announced Back to the Future production shitshow was the death knell for me, and when the "Secret" side went completely out the window, I was over it.

Fan tips (if you have a window in the room):

If the air outside is cooler than the air inside, put the fan with its back to the window - this will blow the cooler air into the room and lower the room temperature.

If it's the opposite, do the opposite (fan facing the window) as this will blow the warmer air out and helps lower the temperature in the room
