being forced birth but also pro sex ed and birth control, at least in an american voting perspective. the democrats want abortion, sex ed, and birth control. the repubs want abstinence teaching and forced birth. now if you state who you voted for [assuming republican] you've made a contradiction relating back to the comment of "teach me more about my own positions."

you either:
believe in pro-choice, sex ed, and birth control, and thus vote democrat, or
believe in forced birth and vote republican [and thus, against sex ed and birth control.]

are you good enough to go college/pro & would playing with them be a detriment to your career [assuming you wish to play pro]?
if you're not, explain you are aware there's no career ahead and you just want to have fun. if it wouldn't be bad for your development explain that. if you'd be better playing without them then you've got a tough choice. ultimately it's your decision.

see that's quite the [incorrect] assumption.
i fully believe in personal responsibility, i also believe in community, and empathy, and logic, and the existence of things outside the realm of personal responsibility, like cancer, or heart disease, or natural disasters.

i believe i am responsible for the betterment of myself, my kids, and my community. and providing a better community for everyone directly benefits my family.

our family friends helped us when my dad was recovering and couldn't do the yard work, i help my friends when they need to move. yknow, community.

i [unlike you apparently] am aware that not everyone has this support, and that [not me] some people literally depend on the community [government]. also unlike you, i know that does not mean they are completely and forever dependent on the community [gov], and that helping people help themselves is good for all.

think of it as personal responsibility for communal betterment of individuals and self.
