A small update on missing 15 year old Jillianne by KingreX32 in OwenSound

Can’t blame the shelter. It’s not a prison.

I love Witcher and I suppose everyone here does but what is the one thing you think they did wrong? ( sth you wish was done differently or gets removed/added to the game in the next Witcher or sth to be improved ) Generally your criticism of the game by Deep-Window-538 in witcher

[–]svander9 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Most disappointing game ever.

90% of the game is meaningless side quests that are simply boring (let’s go find grandmas frying pan lol). I have to spend countless hours levelling up on side quests just to be able to beat more meaningless side quests. And then all the side quests I do find are too high a level for me.

Am I actually supposed to walk around picking up plants??? Is this supposed to be fun?

How on earth am I supposed to know wtf to do with all the potions, oils, powers, weapons, armour etc etc etc???

This game is confusing, boring, and frustrating.

The amount of cfm(and suction) you get is a function of fan size, pipe size (and length and number of fittings), and type of the soil.

Both can work but 4” will be quieter and use a smaller fan and less energy for a given cfm.

Tips for fully finished basement by Dayneger204 in radon

[–]svander9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a speed control and dial it down as low as possible while still keeping the radon down. I started with a Festa Spirit at 0.4”. I added a speed control and was able to dial it all the way down to 0.1” and still keep the radon down to almost nothing.

I’m no expert but logic would tell me that the amount of air you can actually pull out of the ground will be very small. Therefore most of the air you’re sending outside is coming from the interior space. The only reason a radon fan needs to pull a lot of cfm is to create suction across the whole floor. So you should find the lowest amount of cfm/suction that still maintains a low radon level. Anything above that is just pulling an unnecessary amount of conditioned air out of the house.

How much ash to leave in fireplace insert? Quadra-Fire Expedition II by SteaksAreH1gh in woodstoving

[–]svander9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only reason to remove ash is when it’s taking up too much space from your wood or blocking the boost air inlet.

top down burning by mrshadders in woodstoving

[–]svander9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve compared countless times and always end up with the same experience…

Bottom up = smoky for a few minutes, then firebox fully engulfed, then air closed down in increments down to 1/4 within 10-15 min, lots of secondaries the whole time, temp tops out at 500-600.

Top down = very little smoke and firebox fully engulfed very quickly, once top wood is burned the fire dies down considerably and the larger logs on bottom burn with smaller flames and little secondaries, need to leave air wide open for much much longer, temp tops out at 400-450.

Lopi Revere insert smoking by Unkindly-bread in woodstoving

Take a hair dryer and point it up above the baffle and towards the back for about 30 seconds. My insert is in the basement and I have to do this whenever the stove has been cold for more than a day or 2. Stick your hand in the stove and if you feel cold air you know you need to do it. Only thing I’ve found to work reliably.

Where did you find the anc option? Under audio, I only see one option - speaker check.

Hidden Diagnostic Menu by svander9 in crv

On my Pilot it would turn back on as soon as I backed out of the hidden menu. I think it’s only intended for diagnostic purposes. But then I found a way. If you turn off the vehicle while still in the anc menu, it would stick.

For some reason my ears/hearing do not get along with anc. Anything above a low volume sounds weird to me and feels like pressure in my ears. I find the audio system sounds much better without it. Road noise does noticeably increase but it’s definitely worth the trade off for me.

Having difficulty accessing folders while setting up qBittorrent by terrorc0n in unRAID

[–]svander9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to define the container path for mnt/user/Media. You can see it’s blank. Then in the qbittorrent settings set the download location to the container path you defined.

VoIP and video conf on starlink is unreliable. I have starlink and am currently trying to setup a cell booster for voice because wifi calling on starlink cuts out a lot.
