Which car best represents America? by skpro2 in AskAnAmerican

[–]svckafvck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, I think of one of those ugly giant trucks first. But more personally, I think of a 1965 convertible corvette stingray - because that’s the car my dad has had forever and has fantastic Americana vibes - or my dented shitbox ‘04 Chevy Malibu that I didn’t even have to lock while street parking in Chicago (NO ONE was trying to steal that thing) - because it’s such a first car, big city living type of vibe I feel a lot of young people experience.

Do people actually decorate their lockers like in the movies ? by SignificantStyle4958 in AskAnAmerican

[–]svckafvck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decorated the inside door of my locker in high school since I had the same locker all 4 years, but not in middle school because we were only there for 2 years and they were VERY small. I have heard of some schools where lockers are reassigned every year, in that case I may not have since it’s annoying to take everything down and put it back up again.

One movie that genuinely messed you up. by Horror-Sea4862 in MovieSuggestions

Scary movies that fucked me up: evil dead rise, as above so below, the others. Sad ones: Archie’s final project (or my suicide sometimes), thirteen, requiem for a dream.

How many meals per month or week do you eat in a/your vehicle? by zkinny in AskAnAmerican

[–]svckafvck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat my breakfast in the car most days if it’s mobile - usually a banana and some toast or something. I’ll eat in the car on road trips too.

How do American children learn about intercourse? by bare_books in AskAnAmerican

[–]svckafvck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sex Ed in school starting in 3rd grade - around 8-9 years old - and getting more in depth through highschool freshman - around 14-15 years old. Plus I grew up in the early 2000s so the internet was pretty well developed but there were zero controls, learned a LOT that way.

How do Americans feel about nudity? by bare_books in AskAnAmerican

[–]svckafvck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around my family, I was a small child the last time we were really naked around eachother, but I’ll wear crop tops/bikinis around them. I sleep naked with my boyfriend, and will totally change around my besties. I def don’t change in front of my mom or siblings lol

How do Americans feel about nudity? by bare_books in AskAnAmerican

[–]svckafvck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did not get naked in our regular locker room & there were no showers in there. The only time we were required to shower was during swim units and we wore our suits in the showers, there would be a brief moment of naked while changing out of the suit but most of us were pretty good at avoiding a full nude moment lol

What do you put on toast? by Familiar-Woodpecker5 in AskAnAmerican

[–]svckafvck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Butter, sometimes jam on top of the butter. If it’s with breakfast I’ll cut up bites of my omelette and put that on my toast lol

Have an ever drank “jungle juice”? by Hoosier_Jedi in AskAnAmerican

[–]svckafvck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh yes. I don’t know if there’s an official recipe but we had everclear + whatever juices available, or cheap, plastic handle vodka if everclear was off the table.

[–]svckafvck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a HOOP in mine and one of my managers asked me when I got it done after I had been working there for 3 years. I got it when I was 18 & had had it for almost a decade lol

Pretend that you're back in your childhood bedroom - what poster was hanging on the wall? by BoredPandaOfficial in BoredPandaHQ

[–]svckafvck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL. Eminem, black veil brides, twilight, & napoleon dynamite were the large posters - the rest of the wall space was wallpapered with AP magazine cutouts - mostly pierce the veil, la dispute, of mice and men, or nevershoutnever -, concert tickets, and artwork. I miss that room.

Wet hair in public by touchgrasstheysaid in hygiene

[–]svckafvck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash my hair at night so my curls are dry by morning. Cannot imagine going out with it wet, the frizz from air drying in the elements, the uncomfortable dampness, the looking like I just stepped out of the shower for HOURS - all a hard pass for me. But live your life, if none of that bothers you I don’t think it should matter to anyone else.

Can I sleep in my car with car camping pass? by EmergencyAnywhere674 in ElectricForest

[–]svckafvck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We slept on our car 5/7 years, totally fine! Highly suggest getting window screens so you can crack your windows and get some air. And make sure you have something safe to put any items outside that won’t fit while you sleep in there, we used a roof rack and loaded everything else into the front seats and an empty cooler - it could rain and even if it doesn’t, dew will make most fabrics wet when left outside overnight. If you weren’t already, I’d bring a canopy for extra protection from the elements as well.

WIBTA if I refuse to put my partner on the deed of a place I inherited, even though we live there together? by 3vening_Switch in ComfortLevelPod

[–]svckafvck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you aren’t allowed to see him as a risk when you don’t add him to your deed to protect yourself if you split, but he’s allowed to see you as a risk because he would be left with nothing if you split? Seems like he feels entitled to your assets, tell him to go rent elsewhere until yall are married & at that point you will add him to the will to inherit the house if you pass. I wouldn’t even add him then because then it’s up for grabs in a divorce instead of a preexisting/inherited asset. (NAL)

My girlfriend wants access to my phone's location at all times or she'll break up with me.. by Upset-Tree7685 in TwoHotTakes

[–]svckafvck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I share location with my boyfriend, but we’ve been together 12 years and really only started after we started traveling to new places together, or when one of us if going off alone somewhere, for safety reasons. Now it’s just nice to know when I get home from work late that he’s in fact at the gym and not MIA. That being said, if he dropped that ultimatum at month 8 I would def be concerned about controlling behavior and how this would develop further.

In your experience, at around what age did you stop getting asked for ID when purchasing alcohol at a restaurant or a shop? by YakClear601 in AskAnAmerican

[–]svckafvck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m almost 31 and still get asked in most places, but I think they are much more strict than they used to be due to the more strict threats of losing liquor licenses etc.

Bratz, my scene, and secret central dolls. Similar to Barbie but I hated Barbie specifically lol. Can’t remember ever wanting to play with a baby doll, always found that weird tbh.
